I usually don't like to modify official sets but with this one I made an exception. The original set just felt not finished and half built but the overall concept is great so I wanted to add some pieces to make it more complete. I bought it in Legoland Billund back in 2001 on clearance and ever since I've wanted to make some improvements because the green dragon deserves a better home :dhappy:. It took me over 20 years to finally make the changes but better late than never. What do you think about the changes that I've made?

I like how you closed the walls. Looks good, well done!

Well, I always modify my sets. That's the best to do with an official set.

Thank you! The set felt a little bit too open so I wanted to build some sort of wall while still keeping the same style as the rest of the manor. I prefer to keep official sets untouched because I believe they already have an established look and role within a theme and are designed by someone else so I don't want to mess with that. But I love to make MOCs for the same factions I have official sets from and then I often take inspiration from my official sets that have set the standard for the theme while applying my personal touch and ideas. I only make changes to official sets if I believe they are not up to the usually very high Lego standards (like junior ized late 90s Town or this set) or if I want to add a set to a theme by changing the colors (I changed all the orange and sand blue pieces in the 31111 Cyber Drone to black and blue to make it a Unitron set). I understand if people want to change official sets but most of the time it's not something I prefer to do.
