I borrowed the design from The Lego Outpost here:

And I have modified the design to my liking. I ordered the first batch of parts and this is the result:

I have placed the order for the second batch of parts and it will be almost complete when they arrive. The ship will get full smooth tile and grill plating. All of the parts used to build this set I have purchased new because I am going to display it.

Since the Z95 wasn't strictly a Rebellion ship, I decided to leave off any markings aside from the color scheme. I did, however, order a Rebel pilot for it :classic:

Stay tuned...

Good start! Can't wait to see what it looks like with the windscreen from the Magna Guard Starfighter!

You may have to mod the back behind the cockpit though, the new windscreen is twice as tall ( I think, something like that! )

Alright, that's cool. The Z95 I am modeling from is this one from Star Wars Galaxies:

The rear is much larger than what I have so far, so I welcome the idea of adding some height to the space behind the cockpit. It's hard to see in the picture, but under the cockpit are 2 x 4 slopes. I plan to add different parts so that a minifig sits comfortably and realistically in the cockpit. The Magnaguard Starfighter's windscreen is perfect. Thanks again for your help, I really appreciate it

Wow!It looks similar to the picture!I cant wait for you to finish it!Cant you use the thrusters from the x-wing to put on the z-95?

Yes, you can... :classic:

A disgruntled rebel pilot looks upon a Z-95 in the process of being repaired...With the Rebellion in such a crisis, even training ships are hard to come by.
