[MOC] New Republic E-Wing Starfighter – Alternate Build of 75388 Jedi Bob's Starfighter

The E-Wing Starfighter was designed to replace the T-65 X-Wing in the New Republic, it never eventuated as the T-70 X-Wing came out, but E-Wing is a still cool looking starfighter.

Pieces from Jedi’s Bob’s Starfighter make it possible to make a model the portrays the design characteristics of the E-Wing.
 
-          A sloped stubby nose
-          Astromech sitting behind the cockpit
-          Hyperdrive and Power generator at the back of the fuselage
-          Slanted delta wings
-          Two outboard engines hanging below the wings
-          Wingtip Laser canons

I had a bit of problems building up the back fuselage that housed the hyperdrive and power generated, the grille pieces and 2x2 round plate are used to show greebling. No landing gear was possible due to the nose raised quite high from the slanted wings.
 
Nonetheless, even with the limitations, I believe this model captures all of the major characteristics of the New Republic E-Wing, making it another worthy addition to your LEGO Star Wars collection.
