T-86(swebrickLUG) Posted July 15, 2024 Posted July 15, 2024 (edited) Built a crossover of a hobbit hole and Snow White for the ongoing MELO and thought I would share it here! Description: “When fleeing from her evil stepmother and walking around in the woods, Snow White stumbles upon a comfy hobbit hole belonging to seven hobbits. She immediately befriends the group and hides in their home. However, the creature Gollum is lurking around looking for his preciouss and he poisons Snow White with a tasty red apple. She falls into a deep sleep and the hobbits believe her to be dead. They build her a golden and glass-covered coffin in the flowerful hillside of their home. One day, a heroic prince reveals himself in the shire and finds the beautiful Snow White laying there. He kisses her instantly and she is risen from her deep slumber. The seven hobbits burst with joy and the creature Gollum is forced to continue his search for the one ring. Beware figs of all LEGO-themes of read apples and ssneaking fellows….“ Take care everyone! Murdoch17 Posted July 15, 2024 Posted July 15, 2024 (edited) Fantastic MOC! It's funny, though, because I once read that said both Tolkien and C.S. Lewis (writer of the Chronicles of Narnia books) knew each other very well and attended a viewing of Snow White together in 1937. They were absolutely appalled at the dwarves in the film - among other things, they considered them too cartoony and not serious enough. This new take on the story might just be what they were hoping for instead! Edited July 15, 2024 by Murdoch17 Quote
