[MOC] Delta-7X Super Aethersprite Heavy Starfighter - Alternate Build of 2 x 60430 Interstellar Spaceship

Back in February, when I designed my Galaxy Explorer, I envisioned a two-seater with a forward-tandem layout. However, I wasn't satisfied with the connection of the 10x3 wedge slopes at the skinny front to the bulky back, and the need for additional wedge plates to elevate the second cockpit. This ultimately led to the forward-backward seating arrangement in both my Galaxy Explorer and Galaxy Fighter Macross Version.

With this new design, I tackled the cockpit challenge by using 6x2 wedge slopes to fill the gap between the 10x3 wedge slopes. Flag pieces cleverly covers the edges from different wedge slopes, creating a clean and unified look. The inspiration for the delta wings came from iconic Star Wars ships like the Delta-7 Aethersprite and Star Destroyers. After some experimentation, I achieved the desired wing design, complete with an orange roundel that serves the dual purpose of adding the classic space logo and structurally supporting the wedge plates.

Delta-7X Super Aethersprite Heavy Starfighter packs a punch with twin engines on each wing, while the main engine, constructed from dark bluish gray wedge slopes, sits prominently behind the second cockpit. This build maximizes efficiency by utilizing all four aircraft fuselage pieces from the original sets. A colourful stand is made from the spare pieces, displaying the model on an angle.
