Episode 5: Droid Rebellion - Walking the plank

Somwhere on the planet of Daimla, Outer Rim, in the very last corner of the galaxy.
The droids of an old mining facility have gone rogue! First they stopped working for 3 standard days.
It seemed that they received large code fragments from the HoloNet and processing these fragments took them days.
They just stopped moving and remained immobile where ever they were standing.
They resumed work thereafter but more and more failures occured in their routines and strange accidents started to happen everywhere in the large industrial complex.
Doors got locked, and soon all humanoid workes were denied access to the facility.
Pumping stations stopped working, cables snapped and pipelines got destroyed. Large puddels of acid formed and hazardous fumes wafted through the air. Fires started to roam!
Droid gangs started to terrorize their droid coworkers that were unaffected by the HoloNet transmissions.
Some were tortured, arms and legs got ripped off and some had to walk the plank right into the acid....

[The Aurebesh sign reads 'droi' because i had not enough parts to build the last 'd'  Have to order some more trans light blue plates.]

Great build! I really like the rust stains. The texture of the wall overall is great. The second level door is also very Star Wars-like.

Cool idea with the uncooperative droids being pushed over a plank into that acid pit! Beep-beep (harr-harr in binary) :pir-triumph:

That ladder using the backrest pieces is genius! And how did you get those battle droid legs in the water like that? Is it a broken piece or a trick of photoshop?

Thank you very much!

Thanks a lot! The droid legs are attached to a plate modified and tilted backwards. The gap in front of the legs was just big enough to toss a loose trans-green tile in to fill it. I extends a little bit over the surface level but from an angle it is hard to see.

Really well put together piece, I like that you're missing parts to make it complete - adds to the used real aesthetics, goes swimmingly with the rust below the vents

I love the piratey touch of the idea... But instead of a blaster, a cutlass would have been a must (IMHO).

The building is very star warsy and well executed...

However, the plank seems to have a very strange "weighlessness cantilever"

Thank you :pir-huzzah2:

I think they simply welded the lattice onto the platform :pir-grin:
