Orders Arrive at the Mondrie Inn

"Orders Arrive at the Mondrie Inn"

While stationed in Seawatch, most of the officers of the Corlander expeditionary forces stayed at the Mondrie Inn. Major Brickleton enjoyed the breakfast puddings, which reminded him of meals he'd enjoyed as a child at his home in northern Corrington.

After finishing his morning meal, Brickleton headed out to the street, thinking he would head on to the camp where most of his soldiers of the 26th Foot were tented up. Phillipe, the small schnauzer dog, rose and ran after him. Since arriving at Seawatch, the miniature dog had glommed onto Brickleton.

Outside the inn, Brickleton spotted a soldier of the 20th Foot. The black epaulettes were the giveaway. The soldier walked toward him, saluted, and offered up a letter.

"Orders from Colonel Wolf, sir!"

Brickleton thanked the trooper and headed back inside to read his orders.

A great diorama with interesting building techniques! Really well done, the house looked somehow familiar. It took me some time to realize that it looked like a painting by Piet Mondrian.

Really nice one :) Piet Mondriaan and LEGO fit very well I think! I don't know if the roof is very much a Mondriaan look but the rest of it definitely is!

This is a simply fascinating tudor style!  Would you mind if I someday take a stab at an imitation? :pir-blush:  (Not sure I'll ever get to it but I should like to try :pir_tong2: )  I'm not quite sold on the roof, but I really like the angles on the road.

Same! Looks goofy in the pic but decent in real life from other angles

Outstanding work! The building is obviously the star, but the way your figs are expertly posed breathes life into your scene so well, and I especially like that violinist. Your immersive write-up is great as well, this is top-notch stuff all around!

Definitely an original concept! Something none commented, and that I really like, is the impressive groundwork you did here! Well done al around!
