SirNadroj Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 I made more progress after I took this picture, so I'll update this tomorrow. In the mean-time, here's a WIP shot. Suggestions appreciated! Quote
PSPguy Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 I dont remember 'Face having his hand burned in the movie. Other than that its a very good start. Quote
Scouty Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 Not bad, not bad! I would use sandpaper to remove those rough edges, if you haven't done so already.. I look forward to seeing the final result! Quote
Axel Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 I suggest you drill through the head stud at the top, and fill the inside with gray clay, or sculpey. That way, the cracks won't show up as much. Quote
Derek Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 Nice! However I would NEVER even think of doing that to my lego. lol Now will you use the official hair? dp Quote
Faramir Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 I like it a lot, but I think you should consider making a decal for him. If you remember, he wore the same suit again, and the suit had also been burned on the left side. Just an idea, looks great. Quote
SirNadroj Posted July 22, 2008 Author Posted July 22, 2008 Thanks for the feedback; here's an update: Normal Harvey: Promo Ad (made from scratch) Teaser: Thanks. Quote
tin7_creations Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 I'm actually working on a "half hair piece" for Harvey, I'm making it out of sculpey, and it's yellowish color. I was wondering how you got your hair piece to stay on? did you use glue? I'm trying to find a way to keep the hair piece on without using glue, cause I only have 1 copy of the TLG Two-Face head, and I don't want to ruin it by gluing something on. Quote
Derek Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 Wow! That Harvey Dent figure really looks like the character! Quote
SirNadroj Posted July 23, 2008 Author Posted July 23, 2008 And here is the final version! (Thanks to Chaosfish1 on Flickr for the burning idea. Yup, he's actually burned. ) Quote
tin7_creations Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 And here is the final version! (Thanks to Chaosfish1 on Flickr for the burning idea. Yup, he's actually burned. ) Great work, but I think it could be improved if you use the hair for the Harvey Dent in the campaign poster (it has more volume). Quote
SirNadroj Posted July 23, 2008 Author Posted July 23, 2008 Great work, but I think it could be improved if you use the hair for the Harvey Dent in the campaign poster (it has more volume). Thanks. *Spoilers* But keep in mind, his hair is plastered down after he's taken hostage and after the accident. He can't keep hair gel in his hair all the time. 'Specially when he's on fire. Quote
tin7_creations Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 Thanks. *Spoilers* But keep in mind, his hair is plastered down after he's taken hostage and after the accident. He can't keep hair gel in his hair all the time. 'Specially when he's on fire. That's really true, but you also forgot that awesome eyeball. I like how Nolan portrays these villains. I'm actually working on my version of how I think Nolan would portray The Riddler, I can't wait to finish it. Quote
Cyclone Titan Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 Simply beautiful ugly(in a good way). Saw the movie 2 days ago, and that is a great version. The burning idea is a really good one. Yet it would be masterful if you could have added the exposed eyeball and the face innards showing. Na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na....CT! No, that only works for Batman, darn. Quote
Norrington Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 WOW. That looks good, but now you've spoiled the movie for me ( I'm going to see it tommorow.) SO you burnt it, eh? I'm assuming you used a lighter. Looks very good and acurate, based on some images I've seen. Quote
NewRight Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 He looks great and I was think the same thing about burning one side of the tuxedo, no lies. Quote
Shoc Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 (edited) This is great! I was going to comment on it before but it wasn't completed then, and I wanted to see that. The finished fig looks really good, there is a slight gap between the sides of the head but I guess that can't be helped. Nice burning too! I haven't seen the film yet as it isn't out in the UK until tomorrow but I have seen pictures and this is a lot like them, well done! :skull: Edited August 11, 2008 by Shoc Quote
SirNadroj Posted July 23, 2008 Author Posted July 23, 2008 Thanks very much! Here's another fun picture: I really love the official head, but the burned side printing doesn't wrap around. Quote
Dark Sword Ragnarok Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 Thanks very much! Here's another fun picture: I really love the official head, but the burned side printing doesn't wrap around. Really great! I don't know if I would do that to my own figs heads, but it looks great! On a semi-related topic, when I got the Two-face official head, I thought his burnt face was metal! This is probably because I never saw a movie with two-face, or read the comics. Quote
iamded Posted July 27, 2008 Posted July 27, 2008 Despite your ruthless destruction of Lego () this is actually very nice. Lighting the left side on fire (okay, over-exaggeration... ) was a great idea, it makes it look so much more... authentic. My only nit-pick (other than the fact that Lego was sliced in half and put to a flame ) is the left side of his face doesn't look as skeletal as it did in the movie. More exposed eyeball and teeth would make this perfect, but I understand this would be the best choice of head for the job. All in all, good job here, SirNadroj. Even if I don't agree with your methods, you have made a damn fine minifig. ~Peace Quote
JimBee Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 Great work! I like the official head better also, but very creative. I like the burning idea, but I only do that to megabloks. Quote
Johnny 5 Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 I think over all this figure looks great. My only change would've been to somehow get some teeth exposed on the burnt side of the custom face. Quote
darkrebellion Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 Awesome custom SirNadroj . The burned effect is simply awesome and makes the minifig look realistic. Quote
Skinny Boy Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Your DK figs are great. Keep up the good work. Quote
