How this is possible? (inverted Brick 1x2x1⅓ with Slope Curved?)

I was trying to manage how the Brick 1x2x1⅓ with Slope Curved of the tree was attached to the rest

First I was thinking about "forbiden Thechniques" (that lately lego designers are adding to several sets) but puting the Brick 1x2x1⅓ with Slope Curved upsidedown and clipping it with the upper plate was not possible because it will made to join the canopy to the tree trunk imposible

It's possible that it's a new piece? an inverted Brick 1x2x1⅓ with Slope Curved, maybe?
