this is very odd, o hi by the way, lol i havent posted here many times, im stateside, but like comin here to find out some news lol

this is very odd like i said, i mean has lego ever done this, completely change an entire line to change weapons or characters? i heard somethin about one of the first alpha teams sets resembling the 9/11 attacks but this is just strange to me, i think the weapons are pretty cool on my iron predator and urban avenger, plus lego went all out to mention they are not real live firing weapons but rather stun type weapons that shoot plasma or something like that, no more violent than any weapon on the star wars vehicles

i love my sets, but the cages do give a neat appeal that i would like to have on mine, this just boggles my mind, i cant wait to see larger photos

Can I just defend the "tank".

If you watch toho Monster movies (Godzilla and the like) some of the anti-monster tanks look alot like that.

I like them.

Still bemused by the no guns.

Europeans may not be a gung-ho about weaponry as Americans, but still I think its unnessary.

Matt

P.S: I wasn't taking a dig at Americans, but in the constitution it has the right to bare arms thing, and guns are more prevelant, well more than the UK. Well maybe not at the moment. *wacko*

Hmmmmm why the hell is lego changing these sets??? God they really are stupid at times!!

Still at least we will get the sets and it should be easy enough to customize the guns on the sets, i wonder what the Helicopter set will look like now?

Well, the majority of the Dino topics are in Town/Trains, and all the pics are there. Check em out. ;)

Dinosaurs are coming to a town or train station near you!

Well, on the box pics (in the US, at least), it clearly depicts burning modern cities in the background. So yes, I assume that train stations and/or various towns might be under threat as well. :)

This is beginning to remind me of the end of Jurassic Park II...

Well, if Dino Attack's not trying to tap into that market, I don't know what is. I think that's pretty obvious.

Btw, does anyone know whether the US version or the Europe version of Dinos will be released in Singapore (Asia) ?

I wish it's the US version, at least they got the weapons. 8-)

I think the Euro versions are being released for the rest of the world, unfortunately. Sorry!

What...the...crap...

Adventurers had guns! Lots of guns! And so did the Western line! Why not in a line where the goal is to kill inhumainley mutated dinos?

The final year of adventurers had dinosaurs and guns so this Dino theme is hardly a new concept.

But just remember it was Pirates who introduce realistic guns to LEGO!

The European sets seem to be set in the jungle instead of the city for some reason *wacko*

LEGO made two versions of the SES:

Europe had firing cannons, US didn't.

LEGO makes two versions of Dinos:

Europe has no guns, US has.

Weird... then again I don't like the sets anyway...

I thought it was the US version which had the firing cannon, and the European version which didn't.

I don't know why, but... I think it would have been a lot better to have a mixture of both traps and weapons. I would have made much more sense, because the guns on the US versions are only supposed to incapacitate the dinos... and are you going to just leave a dinosaur in the street and wait for it to revive? And how are you going to force the dinos into cages without 'motivation'? A compromise would have been the perfect solution.

jonfett, I think you're mistaken - it was in the US, where the sets were castrated. Most probably they were afraid of getting sued. The newer guns use large rubber things which hardly can make any serious damage (except for direct and deliberate firing to eye from close range).

And if any Europeans want to swap European sets for North American sets, I am sure we can work something out, I just placed another order for more Dino Attack since I almost already sold out. BUT I know some collectors will want the European sets. And as long as we make the deal/swap big enough the shipping won't kill things. any takers?

You sound like a serious seller. Bricklink or retail?

In any case, I'd suggest putting this in the Buy/Sell/Trade/Finds forum. I'm sure you'll get some responses.

Bricklink (and used to be evilBay as well) but also hopefully in the next month or so Retail. We have a small warehouse and have been stashing away LEGO sets for the last 3-4 years. I'll post another message in the other forum. Not sure how it will work yet, since shipping is a killer these days.

What's your Bricklink name?

PS - let me know when and where you open your store, it'd be cool to stop by. Any chance of wholesale LEGO...? ;)
