m00se Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 (edited) Instead of buying the overpriced Liebherr I decided to make my own giant crawler crane. It's just a generic one, not based on a specific model. - Three XL motors in the bottom for left/right drive, and rotation of upper structure. - Three L motors above the turntable: raising long boom, raising upper boom, winch. - Up to about 2.2 meter. - Driving is a bit sluggish and the lower boom has the tendency to move a bit sideways when turning. Apart from that it works suprisingly well (given that I had never build something close to this size). (I'm well aware my camera is pretty bad, sorry for that). Jack Sassy Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 Goodness, it be a massive build! I suppose that parts-wise this one might be close to the Liebherr set? Anyways, an astounding job! Quote
Lego Tom Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 Nice build! Looks like you used a heck of a lot of pins! Quote
