Hi all, I'm HAL-9001, avid fan of all things Space from the USA.  (I mean, I'm a fan of Space things from other countries too, but I'm from the US!)

The very first sets I got as a wee tyke overlapped with the tail end of Ice Planet 2002 and other early 90s Space themes, so I later looked through the mini-catalogs and was enthralled by the Deep Freeze Defender -- long out-of-print by then, but ever since, all of my space MOCs had to have hangar bays with rovers and detachable sub-craft.

I had a bit of a 'dark age' during college -- not that I wasn't still a fan of LEGO, just not in a position to collect for several years -- but then I graduated and got a job (in the aerospace industry, as it happens...) with disposable income and some more living space.  When I saw Janotechnic's Launch Tower for the Saturn V -- which could be made using the parts from just three Technic donor sets -- my journey to buying used LEGO on eBay and BrickLink began...

I was also into Star Wars, Bionicle, Alpha Team, and what I collectively think of as 'Extreme Environment' themes (Aquazone, Arctic, Volcano Explorers...) -- less so into Star Wars or Bionicle these days, except to fill out some classics I missed out on the first time around, but one of my longer-term projects is to recreate some of the sets and themes of "90s Space" and adventure in modern styles!

Edit: My other major hobbies are also pretty Space-related: model rocketry and astronomy!  Steam tells me I have over 800 hours in Kerbal Space Program, which is a filthy lie (that's an underestimate), but these days I'm slowly working my way through LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga!
