stebai Posted May 28, 2023 Posted May 28, 2023 (edited) Hi, I expect the first thing people will say is, just use PF, which i fully understand, but I was hoping a cheaper and more widely available, PU option existed. The Powered Up M Motor lookalike I can find is even rarer than the PF one? What is the story with lego not making a like for like M Motor (for more than a year) in the PU range? Makes no sense given the large number of earlier models that rely on the PF M Motor. Anyway back to my original question, has anyone been able to build Powered Up into an Emerald night and if so could they be kind enough to share the method and motor used? The only M Motor I can find is 88008 which appears to have a footprint too large, and an axle drive that is higher than the PF.. :( Many thanks Edited May 28, 2023 by stebai Answered. LordsofMedieval Posted May 28, 2023 Posted May 28, 2023 I'm not sure PU is even less expensive right now? PU large motors are going for about 40 bucks. I know you can get a PF large motor for just about the same price on Amazon (because I was looking just yesterday). Quote
dr_spock Posted May 28, 2023 Posted May 28, 2023 The Emerald Night building instructions specifies a PF XL motor. I connected the PU hub to the PF XL motor with a DIY PU to PF cable. You could probably stuff a PU L motor in there too and use all PU components. Quote
