This year I've started a project I like to call Legacy Speeders, where every month I make a new speeder bike design, but with a twist: all of the colors used are retired Lego Colors. I'm not using any of the transparent colors that were recently pushed out of the palette, such as Trans Neon Orange, most of the ones I use have been gone for 10+ years. By the end of the year I hope to have a collection of 12 distinct speeder bikes, all using colors rarely seen in MOCs. I do make an exception for minifigure parts, such as heads, which can still be yellow, or prints. Without further ado:

January - Desert Manta

Desert Manta Speeder

Cruising across the desert, she's a rusty old bike, but as long as the engine runs she'll get you there in one piece. This bike was designed as a bit of a rusted out designed to get across the desert as quickly as possible.
This model uses Sand Violet, Sand Red, and Metallic Sand Yellow.

February - Optimal Speed Highly Irradiated Transport

Optimal Speed Highly Irradiated Transport

The Optimal-Speed Highly Irradiated Transport is designed to quickly move radioactive cargo and waste from point to point, keeping the cargo cool thanks an onboard coolant system. No lifeforms are at risk, thanks to the advanced robot pilot. And yes, the acronym for this bike is OSHIT.
This build uses Grey, Dark Grey, Sand Violet, Bright Yellowish Orange, Dark Royal Blue, Trans Fl. Yellow, and Green Phosphorescent.

March - Fuchsyntha

Fuchsyntha

Night time means race time in the city, and this bike, known as "Fuchsyntha" has been on the cops' "Unable to Catch" list for quite a while. This one does have a modern color backdrop, but I wanted it for the aesthetics. Going for pure sleek speed with this one.
This build uses Bright Violet, Dark Grey, and Dark Royal Blue.

April - Citor-IV

Citor-IV

When the open streets call for cape-whippingly fast speed, turn to the Citor-IV, latest entry into the Citor family of hover bikes. Another street racer, I've been wanting to integrate a less sleek profile into a speeder for a while, and this one fit the bill. Plus capes just look cool at high speed.
This model uses Bright Bluish Violet, Earth Orange, Dark Grey, Rust, and Sand Red.

I've already got things in work for the next couple months, and I'll add them to the post when the time comes, Thanks for looking!

The street racer hover bike image is great. Love the facial expression and the illusion of speed with the pathway below. The Fuchsyntha scene reminds me of the original TRON. Well done.

Thank you all for the kind words, I'm happy to see that everyone has their own favorites.

Time for another bike!

May - Pramlocity 4000

Pramlocity 4000

The fastest ride you can buy with limited fine motor skills and vocabulary! This one is definitely one of the more out there models as far as this project goes (so far), but I had a lot of fun with this one! This model uses Medium Green, Dark Grey, Light Grey, & Transparent Fluorescent Yellow.

April - Citor-IV

This might be the best thing I've ever seen in terms of a still picture looking like it's moving. The blur lines and the cape, you can just see it flapping.

Thank you for such high praise! Once I saw how the cape looked on this minifigure I knew the render had to be fast.

Time to catch up on the summer months!

June - Dovadian Speeder

Dovadian Speeder

4 vectored engines, forward blasters, and a side mounted seat. It's go time. This time around I decided to try something new with a sidecar style mounted seat. This model uses Dove Blue, Dark Grey, & Sand Blue Metallic.

July - Nykra Alpha Speeder

Nkyra Alpha Speeder

Operable on land or underwater, the Nykra Alpha series is a reliable workhorse for single operator transport. The anchor portion of this build was originally a microscale building topper, but I like it much better here. Some curling ammonite inspiration as far as the side design. This model uses Royal Blue, Dark Grey, Transparent Fluorescent Yellow, & Sand Red.

Time to Necro the thread for the latest entries in the series!

August - Wasteland Rhino

Wasteland Rhino

Barriers constructed in the desert wastes stand no chance when you have the power of the Wasteland Rhino! Personally I feel like this is the weakest entry in the series, as it really needed some more details along the sides. I might return to this one in the future to revise it. This model uses Sand Violet, Dark Grey, Rust, Brown, Copper & Speckled Copper (Copper, Diffuse).

September (October) - Holo Sensu

Holo Sensu

Even the simulations are no refuge for those who have made powerful enemies. Small speeders such as this one allow assassins to appear and disappear with shocking speed and silence. SHIPtember took all my building time in September, so the next entry wasn't finished until October. I went for a digital realm kind of feel with this; not quite TRON, but some inspiration. This model uses Bright Reddish Lilac, Silver, Dark Grey, and Rust.

October (November) - Aetherian Courier Speeder

Aetherian Courier Speeder

Delivering only the most important of documents and goods throughout the towering heights of the city of Aetheria, this courier weaves through the clouds with ease! This little vehicle is intended to zip amongst the clouds of an avian city, full of bright colors (A nice change from some of the dingier speeders). This model uses Medium Red, Dark Royal Blue, Dark Grey, Medium Green, Gold and Transparent Fluorescent Blue.

And that brings me to the current point in the series! The 11th entry is pretty much finished, and I already have some ideas for the 12th and final entry so I will be getting back on track and finishing within 2023. Thanks for looking!
