Hey I just wanted to introduce you all to my project currently active on Lego Ideas. Based on ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’, which is a very famous children’s book that was both written and illustrated by Eric Carle in 1969. The story is about a young caterpillar searching for food. Every page features food that he eats and you can see the literal holes left in the paper as he goes through the entire book. It has constantly been on sale for over 50 years and is considered to be one of the greatest childhood classics of all time. It has sold upwards of 50 million copies and has been translated into more than 60 languages. The build features a completely moveable and flexible caterpillar and several of the fruit he encounters over the first page. I think it’s a perfect IP for Lego to get involved with and so far the reaction from young and old has been very positive. The sense of nostalgia is high because this is a book most people remember from their youth. So far I have managed to gain more than 3500 votes, which is amazing, but there are still plenty of votes needed to reach the heralded 10K mark so please if you haven't already, please take a moment to click on the link and cast your vote. Many thanks!
