Quandale Dingle Posted April 14, 2023 Posted April 14, 2023 Hey guys. Quandale Dingle here. I am making a big Lego City. I am using the parts from 40178, 40574, 3221, 7903, 7639, 7848, 60384, and 60285 to build this city so far. I want it to be a 21st century town that is very busy with a lot of shops, restaurants, buildings, houses, minifigures, movie theaters, banks, construction sites, railroads, airports, emergency services, government services, gas stations, lots of cool vehicles, a farm, and a big music festival! Many of the sets I’m using are City sets, with a few Lego Store exclusives, along with Classic Space, and Classic Town and Modular Building sets are mixed in as well. For my current wishlist, check out https://rebrickable.com/users/epicbuilder2011/lists/207624/. I really hope you guys have some cool suggestions for me. - Quandale Dingle. Quote
jus1973 Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 I would be inclined to go with either city, OR modular buildings, as the two don’t always sit well together. City tend to be smaller, and obviously have no backs. I hope you have DEEP pockets, as some of those retired modulars command very high prices too. I am in the process of turning a couple of City buildings into Modular style versions of themselves. Very parts intensive proposition too. I’d also say plan lots, before building. I went all in to get a railway in my town, and have now decided after just 12 months of trying to get it to fit, that it’s just taking up too much space, so will be demolishing my MOC train station, and ripping up the small amount of track. Quandale Dingle Posted April 15, 2023 Author Posted April 15, 2023 I want to get a $4,500 lot of the first 7 modulars (except Market Street) on eBay. And sometimes the modulars are cheaper on eBay and bricklink. I’ll save up that $4,500 for that lot. Quote
