SBrick App removed from Appstore?

Hi!

Got Sbricks in all my builds, had to remove the app from my Iphone but when trying to reinstall, the app is no longer available in Appstore. Same on my friends Iphones so nothin wrong with mine. Should I be worried?

I cannot find it in the app store either. Luckily I have it installed on some of my devices.

I would hope this just is a matter of the app needing an update and that it will appear again. Maybe there is a change to some policies in the app store that require the app to be resubmitted.

Today I got an email there is a bèta version available of the new app

Anyone know when the new version will be released. Just changed to a new iPhone and the app didn’t install. Apparently it’s no longer in the App Store. Based in New Zealand and likewise have a number of sbricks. Going to be a bit annoyed if the app has been removed from the global store and is only available is certain markets.

Yep very annoying. 
this was the last straw that prompted me to buy the CADA 4 plus analogue remote. Should receive in a week or so 🙂

Ooh, that sounds annoying! As an Android user, I can often just download apk. files to install apps not in the store, but I'm not sure if that method works with Apple or not

Me too, thats been my favourite thing after switching to android. But to get back onto topic, no, you cant download and install apk files on IOS, this is changing in the EU soon though, hopefully.

As for @Boathill's problem, my number one solution would be brickcontroller 2. Best of luck!

I think, no other version will be ever released. Company end its production last year. And app is removed even from Google store.

For Android it can be found on third party pages and can be installed on Android phones/devices (but not working on older Android devices - must be at least Android 10).

actually it is only on/off. I know there is an analogue remote in the pipeline, but i dont know when CaDA is releasing it.

I have just 'returned' to my sbricks after a year or two of my several Lego creations with SEVERAL sbricks sitting on my shelves. THE APP (ios) does not work - I just get a black screen! 
Then I read posts about sbrick no longer being made (or supported?).

WHAT IS GOING ON? Will all my sbricks be going in the bin, to be replaced by deadful Lego IR remotes?

@Oldfox You may use the brickcontroller 2 app and control your model with an Xbox/ps4/5 controller. I find this very convenient, and the app has very few bugs if any.

Thanks for the info, but I don't use/like Xbox or its ilk. They're just for games. I actually managed to clear the black screen on my ipad and restart the app. After accidentally coming across the public profile I use for my crane, I was able to reassign the ports and now have that model running again. Phew!

 

But the future sadly is not sbrick.

I still have their application despite it's impossible to find it in the appstore.

it's impossible to create a new profile.

Was that project abandoned? So why the official site is still selling the devices?

They are not selling anything, if you check the products everything is out of stock. The best app to use at the moment is Brickcontroller2 I guess.

Yes! Was able to manage sbrick using Brickcontroller2. So I guess sbrick units way be usefull for a couple of years.

It's been removed from the app store, currently not available - Like @Aurorasaurus said, use BrickController 2 with a PS4/ XBOX ONE controller. I use one of the newer XBOX controllers with my sbricks, though I'm not sure if the older ones work. However, there are more customisations you can do on BC2 than the Sbrick app.
