SuvieD Posted July 22, 2005 Posted July 22, 2005 I have been busy and here is the result. Feel free to check out the rest of the battle. Behold the might of the Royal army as they defend against two armies at the same time. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. Also, if you haven't taken the survey in the general forum here or over at Lugnet or anywhere else it is listed, help me out and do so today or at least before August 1st. SuvieD Quote
eDeevo Posted July 22, 2005 Posted July 22, 2005 "Folder is not yet public"... but from the pic you posted, it looks like you have been quite busy... :-D It looks to be quite the epic battle... those Archers must be pretty skilled to be able to shoot accurately from atop a pegasus ;) Overall good work SuvieD. Life is Good. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted July 22, 2005 Governor Posted July 22, 2005 This looks quite epic! All it needs now is a background and it would look like something out of a 90's LEGO catalog. Quote
Capt_Jim Posted July 22, 2005 Posted July 22, 2005 In the words of Keanu Reaves: Dude. Awesome. Quote
SuvieD Posted July 26, 2005 Author Posted July 26, 2005 Hey phes do you have any skill with making a LEGOesque background. If you do I would like to see a picture with one. The folder is moderated, take a look and see if you can doctor one of them up for me. Quote
languages Posted July 26, 2005 Posted July 26, 2005 This is cool. It would be better if their were Vikings in it though................ Quote
Akkhraziel Posted July 26, 2005 Posted July 26, 2005 Very, very nice. I see someone else looked at the hp Hippogriff/pegasus and thought of all the nifty things that castle could do with that. Just a great battle scene, and a great foundation for the battle to take place on. So...why is the green knight taking a lightsaber to battle ? Akkh Quote
ImperialJohn Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 Very nice indeed. Action all over *wacko* Quote
Vader Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 It looks excellent, i like the way youve included the HP Troll :) Quote
xwingyoda Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 SuvieD, This is an excellent battle scene fully packed with action :oD Wow, look at the size of that scene !!! Really impressive!!!!!!! I really love the scenery, especially the temple and market place :oo Fantastic job !!!! Keep those coming !!!!! Quote
SuvieD Posted July 27, 2005 Author Posted July 27, 2005 So...why is the green knight taking a lightsaber to battle ? He isn't carrying a light saber but a magical silver sword hilt. It has a green jewel on the other end though it is very hard to see in the picture and it spouts a flame that acts as a sword. Similar to a lightsabre I guess but not quite the same. I haven't decided what effect the flame should cause if it were to actually cut something. I am somewhat of a fantasy geek but only a little. ;) Hey I figure if it my imagination why not. George Lucas has fielded an army of Star Wars geeks with imaginary weapons and powers, so, I think I should be able to have a flame sword! :oD I actually have four of them. One for each of the KK2 knights, orange/red, green, blue and purple flame swords with huge jewels on the end. They look nice that way. If it were less busy it would be a stage drama fight. I made it a war! :^D :^D :^D :^D :^D Quote
Akkhraziel Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 Ahhh, so he has the the legendary sword of light, a beam klaive, or a sword of brilliant energy...which ever title works best. And who ever enchanted the hilt tyhough it would be nice if the magical blade matched his armor. I can dig it. :-D Akkh Quote
Hinckley Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 This is an excellent diorama! Check out the full folder, guys. One thing that's great about moving all of these old MOC threads is that it's nice to revive great topics like this. This is the first MOC I can remember seeing of Fellow Suvie D's. It's really amazing! Quote
Cardinal Brick Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 It's like some 1920 film epic when extras were cheap and HSE wasn't thought of yet! I Quote
Tordenskjold Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 VERY nice *wub* *wub* really like this. much fighting and 100000000details to look at. My dear Cardinal Brick. i guess the stand around the civillians isnt the last stand. when they are safe i bet the last stand will be around the keep to protect the baron and the ladies there ;-) Quote
iamded Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 That really is great! I love the centaurs, and the buildings, and the whole action-packed scene! :'-) *y* *y* ~Peace Quote
SuvieD Posted February 15, 2008 Author Posted February 15, 2008 Wow, I had forgotten about this. It has been ages since I made a big battle scene. I am glad people like it still. If you like this battle you should also check out the ninja battle I made on brickshelf. The final battle would not happened here. The multiple enemy forces will have quickly ended all resistance if the battle remained on this location. The "good" forces will have pulled back to a stronghold to await support from allies. Your guess about buying the villagers times is 100% correct though. I could never do this scene again as most of the figures in that scene have been sold off to pay for school. Casualties of war I guess. :'-( I love battle scenes and have been itching to make another one. Perhaps I should start a battle scene contest here at eurobricks. Here is to getting back to building in the next few months. MOC on. Quote
Asuka Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 This was indeed a very large and vivid scenery, with some good buildings and a nice landscaping as well. :'-) Quote
SupremeCommmanderGrievous Posted February 16, 2008 Posted February 16, 2008 Perhaps I should start a battle scene contest here at eurobricks. Yes you should, I would enter. Awesome battle scene. Quote
