Klaus-Dieter Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 (edited) There is a topic in the Pirates subforum where ImperialShadows posted a picutre of mixed minifigures from a Lego Store: Do you see this minifig behind the fireman? Do you think that this might be a new City minifig (e. g. for some new construction sets or a garage)? - That would be amazing since this minfig torso looks really nice ! metalandi Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 (edited) That looks indeed interesting..as far as i know there is a kinda similar torso already, but with different color patterns. There could also be one with a green "Latzhose" (what's that in englisch?), but i'm not sure. Edited July 7, 2008 by metalandi Quote
Shoc Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 I expect this torso will feature in a Harbour set or something, I may be wrong... :skull: Quote
meschepers Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 This picture is in a thread in the pirates forum. There is also a photo of the back of that figure that shows printing on the back. I'm sure someone here can dig it up. Quote

I'm sure someone here can dig it up. Thank you for that information, meschepers and thank you for that pic, Shoc! Since this torso is printed on its back then it's very unrealistic that it'll be a ne official Lego City minifigure since there haven't been minifigures with printed torso backs in the City theme until now, have there?! Shoc Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 There haven't been minifigures with printed torso backs in the City theme until now, have there?! I believe there has, I have a World City police torso with printing on the front and back! :skull: Quote

Klaus-Dieter I'm more interested in that minifig with the sand green pants in front of the space man. Is that a Brickforge Custom hairpiece(the hero one to b specific)? Quote
meschepers Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 I don't think that is a BrickForge mold. Their hero hair has a more counded top as opposed to the rather flat top of that minifig. I think that mold looks like count Dooku's hair, at least a cartoony version of it (which could be feasible since there are Clone Wars stuff coming out later this year). It was also noted in the pirate forum that the pirate fig in that picture with the new torso that they (and I) were excited about is printed on the back. So let's hope that it is a trend that will take off with the new sets in '09! Quote
Derek Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 I also saw a lime green baseball cap in that theater scene. Also, Maybe that minifig w/ the orange hair is part of a new City theme. Perhaps farm? That would be awesome! Well see soon enough, just wait till the "09 pics show up in the fall... Darthperson8 Quote
welcomestranger Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 He sure looks like a farmer to me.... what can we get from a farm sub-set... a tractor, red barn, cows, milk tanker or milk van, lots of hay bales... a bottomless well of ideas there! :) Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted July 9, 2008 Author Posted July 9, 2008 I believe there has, I have a World City police torso with printing on the front and back! :skull: Thank you for that information, Shoc! That's right. I lookes it up and there are some few City minifigs which have printed torso backs (like e. g. the orange train workers). He sure looks like a farmer to me.... what can we get from a farm sub-set... a tractor, red barn, cows, milk tanker or milk van, lots of hay bales... a bottomless well of ideas there! :) That'S a very interesting idea, welcomestranger! I haven't thought of this yet. But it's right: This minifigure looks more like a farmer than like a worker. How a farm theme would be! Klaus-Dieter Quote
Markypops Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 What interests me is what looks like a new grey hairpiece on th minifig to the right of the minifig with the clear dome on his head. Anyone have any ideas on this one? Quote
Dr. Brick Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 I'm more interested in that minifig with the sand green pants in front of the space man. Is that a Brickforge Custom hairpiece(the hero one to b specific)? It was said in the pirate thread that it was confirmed that all the figs are official. A farm theam would be very nice, but somehow I doubt that it will be done, I don't think it has ever been done before... I also think the grey hair piece belongs to Palpatine. Dr. Brick Quote
Darth_Legois Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 Its the mutt hair piece in dark orange - as seen on Agent Fuse in the Mobile Command Base & Volcano Base. But that toso does look Quote
Derek Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 It would make since if that new grey hair is Palpy's , considering a set of Palpatines office was an option for the SW TRU exclusive... Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted July 14, 2008 Author Posted July 14, 2008 I thought once more about that red-green minifig. And then something came up to my mind: Could it be a gardener, too? I remember my "little" brother buying some Playmobil market garden sets a lot of years ago. So why shouldn't TLG release something like that, too?! What do you think? Klaus-Dieter Quote

Svelte Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 Nope, there are 3 figs on the 4999 box art but none have that torso. Quote
