With the first few images from the catalog page , got first look at 11027 Creative Pastel Fun , and 11028 Creative Neon Fun (333 pieces each €19.99)

Looks like LEGO possibly responded to some feedback about Classic sets having too many colours in the same box, and now made some color-focused sets with just 6 colors

Also a larger set 11030 Lots of Bricks, looks like it has 10 colors, divided equally, about many actuallly basic sized Bricks, and just that, bricks

Overall, to me, those sets come much closer to the old bulk bricks of the past, this one even has the exact number of 1000 pieces like some old tubs had ,

1000 pieces €59.99

Really similar concept to this old one, 25 years ago ! , which had 1000 pieces of various basic brick sizes, almost equally divided, but 5 colors instead of 10.

There's also 11029 Creative Party Fun which looks mainy focused on non standard pieces, mainly small , rounded/curved or clip/bar sized, 900 pieces €49.99

Images , and final prices will follow later when available (march release), for now , catalog link :

Sets are up on LEGO.com if you type set numbers.

11030_alt1.png?format=webply&fit=bounds&quality=70&width=1056&height=1056&dpr=1.5

Parts look divided equally across 10 colors , so 100 bricks per color.

  • 16x 1x1
  • 20x 1x2
  • 20x 2x2
  • 8x 1x4
  • 32x 2x4
  • 4x 2x6

I think it's great to have the basic bricks box back, and I hope it continues in other colors as well.

Something with the light/dark variants of Grey, Green, Brown, Blue, and Tan for Castle/Terrain/Minecraft-y builds. would make it 10 colors.

Or maybe some other themed pack focused on large amount of slopes, corner slopes and inverted slopes only.

Oooh, I'd love a slope pack especially if they were to use colors like Earth Blue, Earth Green and Dark Red.

Not a fan of the Vibrant Coral so would have preferred they had used something else in the Lots of Bricks set.

Looks like another set appeared , interesting color scheme, Transparent Opal in particular.

11033: Creative Fantasy Universe , 1800 pieces £79.99 / $89.99 / 89.99€

The colors are mostly ok here, but I wish it was more like 11030: Lots of Bricks in terms of pieces, right now even while this has almost 2x the pieces, I need to see the parts list before judging 1 image of a pile of bricks.

(same thing happened with 11022: Space Mission, where the actual parts list ended up quite interesting with some colors getting fairly equal distrubution of basic bricks and some plates)

Opened set 11027: Creative Neon Fun today, looks much better in real bricks, truly some nice bright marker colors with black to contrast.

The orange in the set is actually flame yellow, while it's bright orange in 11030.

I like the different approach being more color focused, and also more basic bricks, compared to many previous Classic sets of the last few years.

More basic bricks, including 1x1, 1x2 and 1x4 work great to add some nice color to building in City/3-in-1 scale structure, and some of the other more specialized pieces can still make some nicely bright colored furniture or small vehicle.

https://brickset.com/sets/11032-1/Creative-Color-Fun

11032: Creative Color Fun has pictures now, not bad , 1500 pieces, means a fair amount of pieces per color.

Doesn't look to have frogs this time around, but some other special pieces like transparent blue crystals and some transparent 1x1 cones, and some transparent opal 2x4's.

2023 Classic is my favorite year for sure, with the direction this theme is going.

Not too sure about the colors in this one although it may be worth it for the Opalescent pieces.  Looks a little similar to the Space one from last year.  I wish they had a few better close-up pictures of the pieces on Lego.com. Wondering if this one will be in Costco or Walmart at a special price around the holidays this year in the US.  One or the other usually gets the big boxes and run special deals on them.  The Space one was in Costco last year through about a month ago when they clearanced them out for around $20.  Walmart did get the Creative Fantasy one when it released & is selling it for $60 so maybe they'll run a lower price on that one for Black Friday.

It's still months away but for 2024, especially the Classic set that's named Creative Houses got my interest.

The last time LEGO had a set like that, it was focused on windows and doors , but I especially hope in this case, it's a main focus on roof slopes as well.
