Like I said previously, no Jabba set and no rush to get the other sets I was planning on getting (two Mando S3 sets, TIE Bomber and extra battle packs) has massively lowered my incentive to save up for May the 4th. While I will say that these updated rumors have a bit of a monkey’s paw twist to them (not a standard Republic Gunship, Hera and Chopper being the only OG Ghost Crew members in The Ghost, some bad prices), I’m still very excited for everything.

I’m very curious what the deal is with this $100 New Republic set though. No major characters (especially no Zeb or Carson Teva) and another “good guy” ship in a very light side-oriented year is a bit of a bummer, but getting some New Republic soldiers and pilots is really cool. Also kind of lame that it doesn’t include some of the more interesting characters from the Ahsoka series rumors, but we’re essentially getting three Ahsoka sets (the T-6, this set and now The Ghost) versus the two we were expecting so I’m not complaining. I’ve been saying for a while to not expect updated Ezra and Thrawn figures until 2024, and it appears that I was right unfortunately. Hopefully we get some substantial coverage for the rest of Mando Season 3 and Ahsoka next year.

 

From Mando Season 3, from the current episodes, we still need Greef Carga’s new outfit and I’d like Gorian Shard, Kelleran Beq and Ragnar figures as well. From rumors, we need Moff Gideon’s new Mandalorian design, the Praetorian Guards protecting him, the new Stormtrooper design, Bo-Katan’s “Mythosaurian armor”, Grogu in IG-11 mech, Fenn Rau and more Mandalorians in general.

From Ahsoka series rumors, besides Ezra and Thrawn obviously, we’ll still need white robed Ahsoka, the reforged Stormtroopers, Baylen and possibly the new Nightsister-type characters.

@Matichado Bear in mind the Reddit leaker is providing information based on the official parts inventories they’ve been able to see. It’s hard to glean wider context from that sort of information.

How certain are we that the official part inventory wasn’t a place holder or is just fake?

Not super happy, but I'll wait to see it to decide for sure whether or not I'll get it. I would have preferred an update of the AOTC 2013 version. But, this one could be great, too.

Only pilots have been confirmed. I do not think that we are getting troopers, since u/FluffySky6 said that the "fancy" white Fleet Trooper helmets (also worn by NR Troopers) were included in Yavin, not the Ahsoka set (I specifically asked about this).

The inventories line up too well with Promobricks' report to be fake.

I unfortunately dont think most kids in lego age dont know him that well, and why is he likely to show up in the Ahsoka show? Just based on the fact that Hera will?

I think that we know everything about the Swamp Speeder: 106/108 pieces, four Minifigs (Vaughn, 3x 332nd Troopers), $25-$30.

Hera (confirmed via trailer), Sabine (confirmed via photos and casting), and Ezra (confirmed via casting) are appearing, and there was no real reason to give Zeb a brief cameo in The Mandalorian if he is not going to appear in a larger capacity in Ahsoka.

Okey, then if the rest of the Ghost Crew is cast, then it seems likely hes in the show. But Disney loves easter eggs in all it forms, so I definitely think he could just show up in Mandalorian by its own right.

Wouldn't have been my first pick. While it will be the first LAAT/i that isn't in the classic white/dark red colour scheme, I would have preferred the Muunilinst 10 or Plo's Bros variant over Coruscant Guard.

But I'll wait until we see pictures before judging it too harshly. Parts and building techniques have improved a lot since 2013 so this could still be the best non-UCS gunship yet.

Not quite; he has a Cody-style plaque on his chest, as well.

Something I noticed on the tie interceptor: there’s no imperial insignia on the side of the wings, unlike the bomber and fighter that are currently out. The old Lego interceptor also had an insignia.

Is this by design? I suppose it would make sense for the imperial remnant ships to have a slightly different appearance.

The timing is suspect, and the account that posted the 332nd helmet also posted "Rex". Cap, IMO.

I think it’ll be alright, the last one was wayyy smaller and looked good
