Spud The Viking Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 (edited) Deep within a place of learning, two theological scholars have a wee discussion. Corrington prides herself on allowing free thought and free speech. As so, the library was being used by a member of Oleon's Order of the Faith and a minister from the Regenerated Church from Corrington, neither being the dominant religion in Corrington. Spoiler To be licenced as a small educational in Spudkirk by the Faction @Ayrlego Edited May 28, 2022 by Spud The Viking Quote
NOD Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 Nice library. I like the colored windows and the fireplace also looks cozy. Is there Captain Morgan Dark Rum on the table? Quote
Khorne Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 What nice immersive scene. Great job on the brickbuilt Corrington flag and overall details. I also love the figure for the Oléon priest. What figure are the torso and skirt from? Also, what's the Regenerated Church of Corrington? Has this been mentioned before? I can't recall. Any differences from the usual Faith? Quote

The torso and skirt are from the most recent Build A Minifigure tower. The Regenerated Church is just something I came up with there. Kind of a take on how the Reformed Church was not dominant in Britain and this caused some issues. I'll hopefully explore it in more builds. Quote
Fraunces Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 amazing build. really strong ambiance you've set there. the flag, bookcases and windows all fit perfectly. Quote
Professor Thaum Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 Very nice library. The fireplace is to be noticed Quote
evancelt Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 Excellent job, @Spud The Viking! The windows and built-in bookshelves are my favorites, but the whole thing oozes interesting details A for GoC from me Quote

Looks like the current range of BAM is extremely excellent, with the Red Falcon torsos and these wizard pieces. Too bad I don't have a BAM near me. Kai NRG Posted May 30, 2022 Posted May 30, 2022 This is some of the best of this kind of stained glass I've seen in LEGO, excellent blend of colors! The lit fireplace is also a really nice touch and I love the low angle and the short focus. Quote

I had the build placed in front of one of my windows for the natural light, and my phone torch came in handy for the fireplace Quote
Ross Fisher Posted May 31, 2022 Posted May 31, 2022 Lovely build. Real sense of place, there and I love the flag. Can you do a breakdown for us? Quote

Jeff of Clubs Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 Amazing work as I said long ago, far far away. The bookshelf is great and the stained glass remains the stuff of legends. I don't suppose you would share the backside of the stained glass? Quote
Ayrlego Posted June 3, 2022 Posted June 3, 2022 As I commented on Flickr, brilliant work here Spud! The stained glass is a clear standout but the whole scene is so very nicely done. The Corrie flag is especially clever - thanks for the preview shot of how you did it. for GoC Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted June 4, 2022 Posted June 4, 2022 I'd also like to praise the window and the fireplace. And I am still wondering how you did that flag. Quote

Thomas Waagenaar Posted June 10, 2022 Posted June 10, 2022 Looks good! Loving the stained glass as well. And never thought drinks made from Lego could look so appealing and refreshing! 1pm is late enough in the day, right? :P Quote
Garmadon Posted June 25, 2022 Posted June 25, 2022 Lovely lighting! That flag and the fireplace are fantastic, and the stained glass and drinks on the table are sweet as well. Great call making the shelves that tall too! Quote
