Captain Braunsfeld Posted February 20, 2022 Posted February 20, 2022 (edited) Garmadon, Kai NRG and Captain Braunsfeld proudly present: Chapter 1: Picture yourself in a bar in Terreli with beer and wine flowing and maritime art: Suddenly someone calls for a beer. It is Lucy Diamond, sitting there chatting with some old friends, that answer quite slowly... Johannes Kite (merely visible behind his huge glass of wine): Lucy, what have you seen lately with your kaleidoscope eyes? Lucy: John, you are drunk again! I have not seen but heard something. Billy Shearington (the man with the shaved beard): Tell us! Lucy (excited): I heard something about old King Fernando. Billy Shearington: Boring! He's just sitting in his palace all day with his favorite dog, doing nothing! He's such a mean old man! Lucy: That's what you might think. But I have heard differently. Johannes Kite (still drunk): Letsh hear it! Lucy begins her story: Late yesterday night an attempt was made to kill King Fernando. (There was something in the air last night and the stars were bright.) While the guards were sleeping... ... a man clad in dark clothes entered the royal chambers... ... carefully glancing to all sides... ... snickering "he he" to himself as he quietly opened the door to King Fernando's bedroom. But the royal bedroom... ... was empty! The assassin stood there for a few seconds, baffled and admiring the beautiful room, while the moon was filling the room with light. Then he sighed, turned and left. ... disappointed... ... and leaving no trace! Where was King Fernando? Billy Shearington: Nice story, Lucy. But if he left no trace, how do you come to know about all this? Lucy: My friend Lively Rita told me. Billy Shearington: And how does she know? Lucy: I did not expect a kind of Oleon Inquisition. Isn't is strange that the King has disappeared? Johannes Kite: I find it stranger that the beer takes so long here. Waiter: Coming! Billy Shearington: By the way, do you know that there is an old song called "Fernando"? Let me think, what were the names of the singers... Lucy: Guys, you are impossible! Can't you for once stay on the subject? You sit around here with your heads in the clouds while the King is gone! Picture the King in a boat on some river! Maybe he has already been kidnapped! Johannes Kite: I heard that .... Lucy: Yes? Johannes Kite: People should invest in tulips. It is supposed to work out great! Lucy sighs, rolling her eyes. Billy Shearington: Maybe? Lucy: Yes? Billy Shearington: We should have another drink. Lucy: You guys really are terrible! Lucy (determined): If the king is really lost, then I will find him! (to be continued) The story so far: Chapter 1 - you are here Chapter 2 Chapter 3 Chapter 4 Spoiler If while reading this you have somehow been reminded of the song "Lucy in the sky with diamonds" by "The Beatles", then this was purely intentional. Have a nice weekend! Edited March 27, 2022 by Captain Braunsfeld Quote
NOD Posted February 20, 2022 Posted February 20, 2022 Awesome, a new sequel story! Great and likeable characters. It hadn't occurred to me before that ABBA had sung a song in honor of King Fernando. Thanks to Billy Shearington for the important information. The bar, the king's bedroom and the guard's bunk room are built with many beautiful details. We can see the wealth of the Empire of Eslandola, here even the guard has a noble and comfortable chair to sleep on. Quote
Professor Thaum Posted February 20, 2022 Posted February 20, 2022 Very nice start of that story, can't wait to see others contribution and the full story. This bedroom is really clever ! I'm quite surprised that it is not filled with chest of gold, or up to the sky with diaaaamonds to reflect the wealthness of Eslandola. Perhaps the King is a plain man... If the story opens up new horizons I will call for a challenge ! Quote
Khorne Posted February 20, 2022 Posted February 20, 2022 (edited) The plot thickens! I love the setup of the story and I also can't wait to the builds and chapters of the other participants and watch this unfold. The bed room is a great build! The giant doors really give it a majestic and royal feel. 2 hours ago, NOD said: It hadn't occurred to me before that ABBA had sung a song in honor of King Fernando. Jack Sassy Posted February 20, 2022 Posted February 20, 2022 That's lovely to see the old pirate pub tavern again (). Can't wait for more parts on the story. Quote
Jeff of Clubs Posted February 20, 2022 Posted February 20, 2022 Very fun builds with a lot of fun techniques. Your funiture and that piano are great! Excited to read more! I have a buddy named Fernando. I sing that at him sometimes. To keep him friendly. Quote
Spud The Viking Posted February 21, 2022 Posted February 21, 2022 Another great story start, I like the build of the bedroom. The photography and storytelling is super, as usual! Quote

I am also looking forward to this collab story - and the bedroom must have worked out well. The windows: Self-made stickers - a cumbersome exercise... Nobody mentioned the Oleon inquisition Great that you spotted the Eslandola flag rug. The King is a big fan of Eslandola. So his cupboard is full of Eslandola merch... Quote
