Swordy Posted April 1 Posted April 1 Hello there! Casual Transformers enjoyer here, randomly popping in to ask: What is the census for a hypothetical LEGO Transformers CMF? I feel like the Autobots/Decepticons would translate really well into minifig form, and could allow for certain fanfavourites to be made, so long as their vehicle-versions . (WE WANT MEGATRON!) Obviously it would potentially cut into Hasbro’s sales. Still, it’s not impossible, right? Also, just watched Transformers One and had a blast at that, and I’m itching to build a MOC of Megatron in G1 form. like Hachiroku24 built for Optimus. At this point I’d settle for a Brickheadz, lol. Any tips or recommendations? Quote

Regards, Mitch Expand Thanks! Sounds like Soundwave will be $180, at that price I'm hoping he's got at least 2-3 casseticons with him. But I know I'll be buying him no matter what... Any tips or recommendations? Expand I'd like it, we know from Kre-o that it would probably do well, but so long as lego keeps transformers as an adult-oriented part of Icons rather than it's own thing I don't know what the odds are. On the other hand, I really don't think it would cut into Hasbro's sales much- they just scrapped the $10 price point for their main transformers line, which was their cheapest price point, so $5 CMF figs wouldn't really have competition. The Blockees blind bags would probably upstage them, being $2 more for a figure with four times the parts and double the size. The best hope for a lego transformers CMF is Blockees failing to break into the US market, which is a real trolley problem for me as I still only have half of the first wave from when Walmart put them out as an experiment. Call @hachiroku Hawkeye because he literally cannot miss. I'm unaware of any specific G1 megatrons out there at that scale, but I'm sure they exist. I got most of the way through one the size of the Icons Optimus that turns into a cybertronian tank before giving up on the transformation (and honestly I think I could probably get it, there's just so many other projects I have on the backburner that I could see lego doing officially that I want to get them out before one I know lego won't touch.), and I know in terms of icons size there are both non-transforming ones out there and one that turns into a gun that I've seen elsewhere. I think @Soundvox posts a lot of mocs on this forum but they tend to be smaller scale than Hachiroku's. Quote
imposter Posted April 1 Posted April 1 Problem with LEGO Transformers is changing from vehicle to robot... It is very weird that LEGO made Optimus Prime so weak. Quote

imposter Posted April 2 Posted April 2 It is not only the waist. All over it could be more sturdy. Quote
Soundvox Posted April 16 Posted April 16 Judging from experience here, I've broke many a clip among other pieces transforming my mini lego transformers figures. I find the official ones to be too large and expensive but Transformers has had a long journey becoming brick form. By the way Kreo did awesome minifigure TF's with psuedo transformations My builds: https://youtu.be/uHMuL2dqAsU https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLL8LF4K6xvbXWSZiIrxRRTOKP2RNjjCCJ Quote
MarkyMark42 Posted May 14 Posted May 14 Has there been anymore news on the upcoming Soundwave set? And does anyone know if there are plans for more of the Brickheadz? Only just found this thread so I will just add that I grew up on Transformers and the original animated movies is one of the greatest of all times. One that I've watched so many times and it never gets old Quote
BitByBrick Posted May 25 Posted May 25 With all the excellent (and expensive) sets coming out this year, this is the one I’ve already set aside dedicated funds for. Eventually I will get two sets, to display in both forms. Very curious to see what cassettes will be included and if additional ones come in a GWP. I’m hoping for at least two cassettes in the set, 3 or 4 would be ideal but unlikely, and my guess is another two in a GWP. If it is a decent GWP, I may have to get both copies of the set day one. Ravage is my top choice, but secretly want (need) all variations. Waiting impatiently for August and the leaks that probably will come out a week or two before. If anyone gets the set early from Lego for review, please contact me, I’d be happy to help with your review 😉. Quote

CF Mitch Posted May 28 Posted May 28 I've never heard of Buzzsaw He seems to have a very similar design to Laserbeak, though? Expand Hasbro at this point has accepted the cartoon's version where Rumble is blue and Frenzy is red, as seen with the 2024 Leader-Class G1 Soundwave containing a toy-colored "Rumble" that was designed to be colored like the original Frenzy toy. And most media now, such as the Skybound comics, has Frenzy red and Rumble blue. If we get a lego Rumble, it'll be the blue/purple one, and Frenzy will be the red one. (Side note: this always made more sense to me. Frenzy means frantic, energetic, enraged, like "seeing red".) Quote
