Welcome to Eurobricks!

That’s good you got the box! I haven’t checked out my local stores in PA yet.

Considering we're just 10 days away from the official release, I think I can hold out until then.

Make that 10 days and one month for those of us Down Under. The last few series have all released a month late in Australia and New Zealand.

Hah, yeah I know I’m crying about nothing. I just like to knock ‘em out fast, and have historically had the best luck when they first start hitting stores.

Same here. I decided against checking out the local stores, just yet.

I've checked a Kohl's, a Scheels, a Target and a Walmart and found nothing so far.  The only one I made a special trip for was Scheels.  Now I've seen a report of someone seeing them in a Toys R US section of their Macy's store.  Curious if they will be rrp there or have a slight mark-up.  The TRU in my Macy's was quite small so I'm not about to make a special trip to see if they have any Lego stocked yet.

As someone collecting every CMF series at this point, I was getting these anyway but watching just2good’s opening video earlier has made my interest in this series shoot up. It’s definitely a lot weaker than Series 21 and 22, but there’s still some charming figures to be found.

Is that a misprint on the Snowman he got? Because it does look like an evil face like he said

Yeah, I thought that looked strange too. The render definitely doesn’t have evil eyes but I guess we’ll have to wait and see more in-hand pictures/videos to tell if it’s supposed to have those eyes or not.

Hearing that people have found them at Kohl’s makes me want to check mine on Friday. This kind of excitement with hunting for CMFs is going to disappear when the bags go away next year. ):

Always exciting when a new series draws near. I’ve been collecting since the beginning and gotta say I miss when we were getting three waves of 16 a year.

I like most of this series but I categorize the figs of a series into four groups. 1. Adds a new real thing ( I don’t mean non fictional just that it represents something where the concept exists outside lego,  most people in costumes are not in this category but there are exceptions like the snowman where he may as well double as an actual snowman) 2. New ideas but not something that is exactly representing a real thing (most costumes fit in this category as they are sort of “made” up)  3. Complimentary repeats 4. Flat out repeats.

this series has 3 I would consider category 1 and that’s a big shame. Most look nice though.

Very minor critique but I hate the idea of my snowman being a costumed figure so I plan on just swapping his zipped face for a plane white head. He will be a real snowman figure, not a costume. So ridiculous lol

If you still want a snowman face, you could substitute this head instead:

Hey guys and gals, I have a quesiton. If you did the previous series’ 6 packs -not one but TWO - did you end up getting few duplicated minifigures?  I don’t recall that discussion regarding Ordianry two 6 packs before.

I mean, you don’t see the face unless you take the molded head off. It doesn’t really make a difference either way.

Anyway, I went to Kohl’s yesterday afternoon and they had a ton of Series 23 packs. I probably could have bought the whole set today if it weren’t for the fact that I was a little short on time because I had to catch a bus and I’m trying to save some money for other Lego purchases. I just got six packs and they were really easy to feel up with all the big molded pieces with a lot of the figures. That might have been the quickest I checked through an entire line of CMFs.

So far, I’ve gotten the Fairy Costume girl (love the candy cane accessory), the Wolf costume guy (kind of a random inclusion and I hate that the gray tail piece breaks up the blue overalls), Turkey costume (fun figure with some awesome molded feathers), Popcorn Suit Guy (which is a figure I like but the actual popcorn itself looks too much like regular corn for me), Reindeer girl (a really fun figure) and the Snowman (possibly my favorite of the series!) Despite my gripes with this series, I still really like all these figures! I look forward to getting the other half during September.

Also, me and @Robert8 were talking about the eyes on the snowman figure in just2good’s opening video the other day and I definitely think there was a slight misprint on his figure’s eyes. They look a bit evil and slightly pointed at the top, while mine look round and normal. I wonder how common this error is.

Incredible head! Mind me asking where this is from? Is this a pick a brick /BAM piece? Hope it’s not too old..

yes I admitted the sentiment was a bit absurd. That said even if it’s hidden I’d like my fig to be canonically snowman fig not a costumed fig so I will go the extra mile of finding the piece suggested above. Even if it’s out of sight. I’m operating on a technicality.
