It seems like a clear case of caring creators and engaged fans, even spread out over a decade plus now. Exactly this, multiple magazines (legacy and normal), books, video games, a movie, some big Ninjago City type sets (recently gardens) , 10 year anniversary golden figures celebration, 2021 Employee Gift etc. show it's one of the most dedicated LEGO themes ever that isn't licensed.
