A few weeks ago I built a MISB 60215 Fire station. I was surprised that the Siren was barely working (flahsing on one side, basically no sound)

I checked the one I built a year before (60209), and it was dying too (it could make some sense, every now and then I used it for a few seconds)

I read that replacing the battery may not solve the problem. Did any of you face the same issue, even in never-opened-before sets?

The "one" I have is still working, about a year of very light use. Anyway there are two screws in the bottom, so it looks fairly easy to switch out the battery.

Just opened up, just a simple 3v coin battery looks pretty easy to change.

One thing too, although you probably already tried, sometimes you have to hold the button down for a second or two for it to actually start, instead of the one light coming on for a split second.
