Citizens of the Corlander colony of Jameston were treated to an unusual sight this month, with the arrival of several Molokoi Elephants and their mahouts from the old word. The decision to import elephants had been made by Colonel Allcock over two years ago in consultation with some of the leading Nizami citizens, who advised that the Molokoi elephants of their homeland would be ideally suited to the very similar climate and conditions on Celestia. Colonel Allcock, still stuck on Terraversa will be extremely disappointed to miss the final arrival of the pachyderms - a total of six elephants and their mahouts have made the journey - specially recruited and directly shipped from the Southern Molokoi Empire by agents of the ETTC. The mahouts and their mounts will be used for heavy work such as land clearing and logging and it is hoped that if successful, the elephants will be able to be bred locally.

A build I've had on the bench for a little while - mainly to show off my new elephant I ran out an got when they first came out - but also to try my limited bright orange bricks on a small building. I also reversed the Patil twins torsos to see if they worked for yellow figs - I think they do. Anyway - it was nice to actually finish something -  I haven't had a lot of Lego time recently and unfortunately I don't see that changing for a little while.

Awesome elephant! I have a Duplo elephant that I've toyed with (haha) adding to a BoBS build, but I think you've got the pachyderms covered! Agreed that the Patil torsos work well with yellow figs

The orange looks super exotic

Nice build!

Fun to see the palm tree coming off the side of the build :pir-grin:

Very beautiful!:pir-love: I like the colored building and the many different trees. The monkeys look funny.

It looks stunning! The green plants/trees together with the orange really match nicely to give it that exotic feel!

I'll also definitely be borrowing that tree design with the tube and leaves! :P

@AyrlegoSomehow I knew it would be you the first on those elephants! Although I know they are African ones due to ears, tusks etc, their size seems more appropriate for Asian ones (assuming they are all male adults that is). Now I am torn between those cute beauties (also insert sturdier) and the bigger but a bit uglier "older" (also insert way less sturdier) ones ...

Perfect as always and great subcontinental vibe regarding those awesome minifigs (especially those HP ones with the pink dresses or with the grand mustaches etc)!

Also off topic but one could argue that buying the bigger African savanna set could net you the full range of those beasties but nooo, they had to make that male lion white, well, just because...! And PaB or Bricks and Pieces don't work on our turf. Pfff!!!

Try using a Playmobil 1-2-3 one . Studless but blends in better (trust me, from my experience!!!). They can be frequently found in the wild (aka my carpet), being ridden by ninjago blue minifigures :pir-laugh::grin:

Olyphants! Yes! :pir-huzzah2:

Another wonderful build from you, sir. I especially like the trees built with the long flexible rods for trunks. You've used the 1x2 bricks with the cross opening to great effect, too. Well done!

It's not possible to comment too many times on a MOC with an elephant in it, so I'll try this again. :pir-grin:  Yep, still loving the elephant and the monkeys and the color on the building!  Speaking of the color, it's really nice how it complements the outfits the two gals on the roof are wearing.  Great variety of trees too, looks very colonial.

Simple, yet beautiful. The elephant obviously steals the spotlight. I love the new range of Lego animals and how their designs are more "in-line" with one another than some of the old animals. I like the way you made the wooden roof of the house with the upside down plates. Neat idea there. The Parvatti twins torsos work well reversed. Lego should really do more global designs for their figures. Always fun to see more "exotic" designs.
