REVIEW: 43111 Candy Castle Stage

Here is another review from me on Vidiyo 43111 Candy Castle Stage:

THE GOOD:

• The bear minifigure is excellent, especially the head piece.
• I like the mini drum set on stage.

THE NOT SO GOOD:

• Pricing as usual is high for Vidiyo sets.
• Bland compared to the other 2 Vidiyo sets I own from this wave.

This set, it does capture a very pop vibe and nice candy themed stage but definitely not a castle as per the set name.  The minifigures are excellent especially the Blue Beary Guitarist, I was surprised to see how they dual moulded the head with the clear blue on top.  Some nice touches in the build but compared to the other 2 sets I have from this wave, It does few a bit bland both in terms of the end product and building experience.  It's really really an expensive box of pop colour parts pack.  Having said that, if this is your first Vidiyo set or for kids that only started collecting Lego, this is not a bad choice if you can get it with a discount.

thanks, i guess the colour is just these selection it focused on chocolate theme?  if they go for a more fruity feel, would have been more colour and more expensive i guess XD

It turns from being candy (in pastel colours) to chocolate. The speakers and head all twist round to change the look, as well as activating animations in the app.

I actually do like the color use, overall the vidyo candy characters mostly are focused on sweets and not fruit.

I can imagine if there would be a Fairy Folk stage, it would probably have more green tints.

Candy mermaid tail was made out of waffle and icecream torso, there's a icecream head person with choco sauce/torso and waffle pants,  cotton candy cheerleader , and 2 transparent gummi bear like figs.

At discount , I like this set better then the Car, but then again, the Car is a better starting point for MOC if you're into vehicles and robots.

haven't try with the app, I had very terrible experience with app when they first released.  May be I should give it another try.

talking about discount, there was 30% off discount the the new sets here in NZ already lol
