M_longer Posted June 2, 2021 Posted June 2, 2021 (edited) An alternative model for 42114 6x6 Volvo Articulated Hauler Model is completely motorized, with 3 motors, and controlled by official 42114 profile in Control+ app Scaled to dimensions of CAT 834K, with additional features like working fans behind the cab. Drives, steers and elevates the blade. The gearbox from A model has been redesigned, I've removed the parking brake and whole gearbox is much more compact. An additional feature, not present in A model are spining fans behind the cab. Whole model is basically a housing for gearbox, motors and HUB. The blade elevation drivetrain is a little bit complicated, due to lack of second universal joint. Instead I have used several bevel gears on the central pivot. Jurss Posted June 3, 2021 Posted June 3, 2021 Cool B-model. Maybe also update topic name, so it is clear, that it is B-model. Quote
Jundis Posted June 3, 2021 Posted June 3, 2021 Very cool B-model! Had anybody already tried to do a scraper as a B/C-model? ;-) Quote
Maaboo the Witch Posted June 3, 2021 Posted June 3, 2021 Nice job! Needs stickers from 42131 though. Quote
howitzer Posted June 3, 2021 Posted June 3, 2021 Looks great. Even if TLG is discontinuing B-models, I'm happy to see them being made by AFOLs! Quote
kiwimtnbkr Posted July 18, 2021 Posted July 18, 2021 (edited) drove past a motorway construction site today and a wheel dozer fitted with a GPS grade control system caught my attention, something similar to this system here, but it was only a single mast and not the dual mast system as seen in the brochure. Anyone got any good ideas on how to stimulate this with the white dome at the top? Edited July 18, 2021 by kiwimtnbkr spelling, lack there of.... Quote
sebulba56 Posted July 18, 2021 Posted July 18, 2021 It's a pretty cool alternative model, very original, I have never seen a vehicle like this before. It is better finished than the A model to me. Congrats ! Quote
