shockwave_bricks Posted May 15, 2021 Posted May 15, 2021 (edited) *Your entry has earned 10 XP* Cold assault, the was the name of our unit, we were deployed to planets with severe conditions all over the galaxy, to combat CIS enemies that seemed to never stop coming. I had been sent off with one of my brothers Strike, to scout ahead on a separatist outpost on Orto plutonia, a seemingly desolate world with little to no life except for various native species such as the Talz. We had been told that the seps had multiple outposts in the north-west sector, where they were getting shipments like Ion cannons and proton torpedos, we were told it was essential to keep these from getting off world where it could fuel the CIS movement elsewhere. We had arrived on the foot of the outpost, to find a few battle droids guarding the entrance, Strike looked at me and said , “ time to do what we do best,” and with that we advanced towards our enemy. marvelBoy123 Posted May 17, 2021 Posted May 17, 2021 Really nice build! The grates on the wall work well to add texture and I think you have balanced colours nicely here - the yellow stripe in particular is a nice contrast to the white and grey. The two clones look really good too! One thing to work on in future would be the landscaping - two sideways stud tall landscaped borders tend to work better than one stud both in terms of texture and dimensions. Quote
RocketBoy Posted May 20, 2021 Posted May 20, 2021 (edited) Love the background texture and the yellow lines in the floor! C&C: The snow is a bit chunky, and I'm not sure that greebling wouldn't have been better where those transblue tiles are? I could see this with a little more dimension, like turned at an angle to show off some perspective, and maybe with a taller wall and something going on above? Man, a second catwalk above with another fight would be really cool. But I'm not gonna judge this based on what isn't there. Rad clones, your texturing is great, and the repeated elements in the wall gives it cohesion. Nice job Edited May 20, 2021 by RocketBoy Quote
Darth Bjorn Posted May 23, 2021 Posted May 23, 2021 Nice little build. You should try interlacing the sideways ice, with stacked ice on top. That way you don't get that hard edge between snot and stack. Quote
