Black Knight Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 (edited) I am currently searching for manufacturers/vendors of non-standard-sized train wheels for my steam locomotives. If someone has a list already of possible sources that would be great, in case no one has a recent version, I'll try to make one here, hoping for everyone to help me out on the ones I missed/do not know yet. BigBenBricks -- the one and only; injection molded wheels from XXL to S; US-based Shupp / Brick Train Depot & Shupp / Shapeways -- 3D-printed wheels, most noticeably in-between sizes like LL and MS, boxpok wheels; US-based (BTD), EU or US (Shapeways) bricks-on-rails -- 3D-printed wheels, fly wheels and rods; Germany-based TLG, Mould King, BrickTracks, Bluebrixx, etc. -- injection molded, but only a subset of S, L and L-blind models (just for completeness) DIY -- use a 3D-printer and make your own (just for completeness) Thanks! *) S and L Edited April 10, 2021 by Black Knight Added BTD Quote
zephyr1934 Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 Actually, I believe BrickTracks offers all of Shupp's wheels that are on shapeways for less, and unlike shapeways, Shupp gets a portion of the sale price. Also, I THINK BrickTracks offers the largest selection of non-standard wheel sizes. Quote

BrickTracks doesn’t sell any wheels besides the replacements for the 57878 wheels. Brick Train depot has a huge selection of wheels from shupp with some additions. https://bricktraindepot.com/shop/wheels/ Also better prices than shapeways. The black are printed. On an SLA printer so they are very smooth. Quote
Karle Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 Check out Brick Train Depot or OK Brickworks. Good selection of spoked, boxpok drivers and plate wheels. Quote
dr_spock Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 If you're into 3D printing your own, there are train wheels on Thingiverse.com to download and print or customize. Quote
