Gray Gear Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 (edited) Very simplistic build, but still pretty cool. I like how the battery box is turning as well so the cables don't get twisted. Well done The only thing I dislike are the gaps between the panels. Filling those up shouldn't be hard. Edited March 19, 2021 by Gray Gear Quote
Thirdwigg Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 Fun to see a building in Technic. Great solution on the light turning mechanism. Do the cables ever get caught on the inside walls? Quote
chlego Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 That's very very original! Nice light mechanism. 3 hours ago, Gray Gear said: The only thing I dislike are the gaps between the panels. Filling those up shouldn't be hard. I do agree. Quote
paave Posted March 19, 2021 Author Posted March 19, 2021 (edited) Thanks! 3 hours ago, Gray Gear said: The only thing I dislike are the gaps between the panels. Filling those up shouldn't be hard. Yes, it's not hard to put 11L liftarms there, but there are reasons not to do. With these gaps it's easy to turn on/off the battery, just using the antenna, so no disassembling and extra parts needed; the tower shape looks more rounded; the design is more clean; and generally, moderate level of gaps is a common thing in official technic models, and I personally like it 3 hours ago, Thirdwigg said: Do the cables ever get caught on the inside walls Never happened during the tests. They may touch a bit, but it doesn't turn into accidents. To be more safe, some rubbers can be used to get the cables together in the center Edited March 19, 2021 by paave Quote
nerdsforprez Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 In psychology there is something called a "lighthouse personality" - someone who desires to remain at a distance from society at large but remains diligent, hard-working, and a good steward of something. Tie this in with unending opportunities to observe nature and weather and, at least for me, you have an optimal opportunity. For this reason I have always dreamed of being on a lighthouse, and perhaps even in charge of one. Great build... nice to see something different. Quote
