Brickend Posted March 6, 2021 Posted March 6, 2021 I recently bought a discounted 42122 as a parts donor and thought I may as well spend a couple of evenings literally playing around with it - it was good to play with Lego a bit free-er The only 5 wheel vehicle I could think of is the Terra-Gator 9205, so this is a rough approximation of one of those. It's not pretty (neither is the real thing really) and I have no interest in refining it further / correcting connections etc. but thought I'd share it due to the recent discussions about MOCs being too 'polished' - just have fun! Features - Steering controlled from steering wheel, mechanism to lower the rear slurry injector controlled by the red switch on the top of the tank (always try to include a mechanism). If I was to refine it, would like to move the front wheel forward and refine the slurry tank on the rear - but my hearts not in this project so will now enter the great parts pile. Left over pieces - approx 60-70, so lots of room for improvement. M_longer Posted March 6, 2021 Posted March 6, 2021 I was considering making a terra gator, but was sure that it will not look good. You have just shown that it can look great. Awesome model! Quote
Brickend Posted March 6, 2021 Author Posted March 6, 2021 Thanks! - I (and I'm sure many others) would be very interested in seeing your take on a terra gator Quote

Lira_Bricks Posted March 7, 2021 Posted March 7, 2021 Looks really good! :) Does the gear behind the red lever do anything? Quote
trekman Posted March 7, 2021 Posted March 7, 2021 Very good considering you were using a limited selection of parts. Quote
jorgeopesi Posted March 7, 2021 Posted March 7, 2021 Best B model I have ever seen, congratulations, I would buy the set only for do this machine. Quote
Brickend Posted March 7, 2021 Author Posted March 7, 2021 Haha, way too kind! But again, would be interested to see other's take on the Terra Gator - a better version is definitely possible! Quote
howitzer Posted March 7, 2021 Posted March 7, 2021 I have no idea what this machine is or does, some kind of farming thing maybe? But it sure does look cool. I wouldn't have imagined that you can actually make all the 5 tyres in the set useful like this. Quote
Brickend Posted March 7, 2021 Author Posted March 7, 2021 Yeah, they are mostly used for farming, usually for the application of manure, slurry, lime or fertilizer. The tool on the back can be changed to suit the task. This one is setup for injecting slurry just below the surface. They are very good at reducing ground compaction or damage to wet fields. The one in this video is for manure spreading: Quote
Jundis Posted March 7, 2021 Posted March 7, 2021 This is such a creative and brilliant moc... and exactly why I love this community so much. Great job @Brickend ! Quote
1gor Posted March 8, 2021 Posted March 8, 2021 Ugly and stinking beast (in real life), but on other hand great B model Quote
