Kai NRG Posted February 5, 2021 Posted February 5, 2021 (edited) Chapter IChapter IIChapter IIIChapter IVChapter VChapter VIChapter VIIChapter VIII Chapter IXChapter XChapter XI Chapter XII Chapter XIII Chapter XIV Chapter XV Chapter XVI (you are here)Chapter XVII Some time ago this piece of news made footnotes in the Kingsport Advertiser: “From Salida Este the reports of the second sailing of the Greenies’ pirate-hunting fleet are distressing. The fleet was unable to sniff out any pirates this month while suffering losses to the storm system that went through the Sea of Thieves this month. Commodore Argentum is feared lost at sea when his flagship, the man-o-war Lady Cora, broke apart in the tempest north of Isla del Diablo. The fleet continued to race the storm northeast, and the Verde Oro also suffered damage but was able to make port. Eslandian officials have vowed to search the Sea of Thieves for any sign Commodore Argentum may have survived.” This was how the officials did it: This feels rather tame after the size of my last chapter, but it's something to keep the story moving. I actually built this quite a while ago, really wanted to use those fancy dots pieces with the flowers. Not sure they worked terribly well, but it's a start, I'll find somewhere else to use them eventually... Comments and critique welcome as always! Edited May 17, 2021 by Kai NRG Quote
Bodi Posted February 5, 2021 Posted February 5, 2021 A neat and clean build, looks like a sushi plate to me, especially with those flower pieces. Quote
Count Vroskri Posted February 6, 2021 Posted February 6, 2021 Great build @Kai NRG. The minifigs are well posed and provide a lot of expression. Well done! Quote
Captain Dee Posted February 8, 2021 Posted February 8, 2021 This may be small, but it's built and presented well, and it gets the point across. I love the color of the table and the posing of the far-left minifig, and that's a pretty good collection of maps. My only complaint is that the first pic doesn't utilize the space well; otherwise the photography is great. Quote
Mesabi Posted February 8, 2021 Posted February 8, 2021 Looking good Kai! I like the polish you put into the floors and tables. Great scene, and good to see your story continue to move forwards! Quote
evancelt Posted February 9, 2021 Posted February 9, 2021 (edited) So many maps! I really like that SNOT floor technique - it makes the floorboard wood pieces seem minifig-scale. Edited February 9, 2021 by evancelt Quote
