Enrico7676 Posted January 27, 2021 Posted January 27, 2021 Thanks to Brick Print I was able to add these printed bricks to my Stoom Stichting Nederland LEGO 01 1075. LEGO SSN 01 1075 with prints. by Enrico Lussi, on Flickr This entire model is made in scale 1:45. It's powered by 2 L-motors in the boiler which gives it a realistic and propper steam locomotive speed. The locomotive is controlled by a Pfxbrick which has a XL speaker for sounds effects. The locomotive is 67 studs long and 8 studs wide. LEGO SSN 01 1075 with prints. by Enrico Lussi, on Flickr LEGO SSN 01 1075 with prints. by Enrico Lussi, on Flickr The reall one is currenly at the SSN in Rotterdam near my home village. It is the fastest steam locomotive in the Netherlands. It's able to reach speed up to 140 km/h. The model took my around a year to built. I did have a older version which was 98% Habricks.com design. That model has now been scraped and completly rebuild into this monster. The costum driving rods are from Bricks-on-Rails.com. The LEGO SSN 01 1075 in action. by Enrico Lussi, on Flickr Quote
JintaiZ Posted January 27, 2021 Posted January 27, 2021 Nice build! The printed bricks look very good. Quote
Glenn Holland Posted January 27, 2021 Posted January 27, 2021 You did such a great job on this engine, and it looks right at home with the passenger cars in that video. Your model does a great job capturing the presence and look of the real locomotive. Awesome job all around Enrico! Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted January 28, 2021 Posted January 28, 2021 The BR 01-1075 was my first love and you made a fantastic model! Quote

Yeah it's my favourite steam locomotive. I'm lucky enough to have the real one about 15 min from my house. And have had a lot of special train rides with the real one pulling the train trough the Netherlands! Quote

Enrico7676 Posted February 10, 2021 Author Posted February 10, 2021 My SSN 01 1075 is finishend. I was able to connect ,the lights UrbanErwin provided, to the Pfxbrick this weekend. The locomotive is built in scale 1:45, has 2 Pf L-motors for power in the boiler and is controlled by a PfxBrick with XL-speaker. LEGO SSN 01 1075 scale 1:45 by Enrico Lussi, on Flickr For the locomotive I made 3 wagons which the SSN uses to organize events trough the Netherlands and Germany. I made 2 Bm238 and 1 Mitropa Speissewagen. The design of these are based of UrbanErwin his design. ColletArrow Posted February 10, 2021 Posted February 10, 2021 Fantastic work! The custom wheels and rods make the loco look so elegant, and the details all over the boiler, cab and tender are impressive. The sounds, and now the lighting, just give so much more life to the model. Well done! Quote
Feuer Zug Posted February 10, 2021 Posted February 10, 2021 Exquisite. The locomotive and tender are masterpieces in themselves. Adding the passenger wagons makes the entire creation stand out, especially with the lighting. Quote

bogieman Posted February 10, 2021 Posted February 10, 2021 I agree with the others, this is a really beautiful engine and train. What kind of LED's are you using for your lighting? Dave Quote

Feuer Zug Posted August 23, 2021 Posted August 23, 2021 Stunning layout to fit a gorgeous steam locomotive. The details on the buildings, right of way, and even the DB diesel trains is fantastic. On thing I would like to see is a close up on the various signals you have in the layout. Quote
Toastie Posted August 23, 2021 Posted August 23, 2021 Man - I skipped this all the time!!! Here is what Wikipedia says: "An SSN is a nuclear-powered general-purpose attack submarine. SSN is the US Navy hull classification symbol for such vessels; the SS denotes a submarine[1] and the N denotes nuclear power." (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SSN_(hull_classification_symbol) Oh my - what a wonderful BR 01 rendition! @Teddy as well as @LEGO Train 12 Volts made then as well - as many others. Most of the signals are from the Noppenbahnen guys. It was a colab layout at Schkeuditz from multiple international LEGO train builders.
