Hi there AFOLS, I am very new to LEGO and even newer in these forums so please excuse me if I make any mistakes, still learning here!!

The point of this post was to get some advice from people who are more skilled than myself regarding LEGO. I put together quite a few small sets and it got me hooked, eventually I decided to pick up a Saturn V set and I must say that it was an awesome experience building it as a novice, absolutely rewarding when you see a meter long Saturn v come together! The problem I now have is that the build is complete and I'm just not sure what to attempt next. Yes, I know the lunar lander seems like the most obvious choice so did actually pick one up, I'm almost finished the lunar lander build but cant help but feel a bit disappointed with this set as it wasn't as exciting and thought provoking as the Saturn v, something is missing and I'm just not quite sure, of course this is all personal opinion. I would really appreciate any recommendations on which set to build next, which set would match the excitement of the Saturn V build and be as amazing to see come together from packet to packet? Is it possible to find something which could match the Saturn V at around the same price point? Any help is appreciated, thanks!!!

Hi, 'kylenpillay'. Welcome to Eurobricks! Have you considered the Creator Expert sets? The sets are normally quite considerable in size and feature some advanced building techniques, which makes them quite satisfying to build. Depending on your interests, you could go for vehicles or buildings.

Alternatively, you could just go by size. For instance, you can check Brickset for a list of sets with most pieces. Anyway, hope you find this helpful!

If the space theme interest you, I think you should give 21321 International Space Station a try. It offers a great building experience and a fantastic display piece in any environment. Furthermore, I have recently picked up the set at 20% off so it shouldn't be hard to get it on sale at this moment.

The Saturn V is truly one of the most amazing sets of all time which may be the reason why you were a bit disappointed by the Lunar Lander, especially considering how little the price difference is. Personally, it just shows how great the value of the Saturn V is, but not that the Lunar Lander isn't good value by any means.

If you like Creator Expert sets, give 10272 a try. It differs dramatically from any other set and offers an extremely unique building experience, despite some repetition. While it's a hard hit for the wallet, I believe it is worth every penny.

Welcome to Eurobricks, by the way.

@imvanya @JintaiZ Thank you so much for your advice guys! I'm done with the lunar lander and it is actually a really attractive display piece, turned out a lot better than expected :) My birthday is next month and I plan on getting a taj mahal and maybe the haunted mansion, the only thing about the mansion is I dont know what I would do with it afterwards, everything else I've built serves great as display items too. I think the ISS is a must and I hope i can get that set soon, the space theme is super awesome, we need more space content!! thanks again for the recommendations guys, much appreciated:)

It may not be the best time to get Taj Mahal as it's already a retired set in some regions. If you're looking for a great display piece, check out the Disney Castle. It's one of the most beautiful sets I have.
