goose14 Posted January 5, 2021 Posted January 5, 2021 Hi folks new to building technics and need some expert help. I finished the Porche build and realized that I put the engine blocks backwards such that it prevents the pistons from moving which prevents the car from moving. Anyone know what's the best way to approach getting to the engine so I can invert them the right way. Or do I have to take the whole car apart? Thanks in advance! Gus Quote

amorti Posted January 5, 2021 Posted January 5, 2021 I guess you mean the conrods are crossed-over? You'll need to get the fake motor out for the repair but it's not going to be too hard. There's so many gaps in the set you can probably do it without removing the bodywork. Quote
goose14 Posted January 5, 2021 Author Posted January 5, 2021 This is a pic of the engine problem. You can see where I put it backwards. Quote
MY1 Posted January 5, 2021 Posted January 5, 2021 lmao I think ur gonna have to take apart most of the car Quote

goose14 Posted January 5, 2021 Author Posted January 5, 2021 Yea no kidding on the fail. I’ve contemplated leaving it that way because for me it’s really just a show piece. But my inner OCD eats at me knowing it’s wrong. i was hoping to avoid taking the whole car apart but looks like it’s my own option. Quote
goose14 Posted January 6, 2021 Author Posted January 6, 2021 Well all fixed now. Watched a YouTube video on motorized the porche. It showed how to access the engine. ? Now I can move on to my next set! Quote
