Hi guys,

one year ago I started a MOC for a Mondial HPS 125 but left it unfinished with only little parts done. Now I gain inspiration once more for the TC19 and currently tinkering around adding a 4-speed gearbox and a stepper (which already used by some others for TC19 ;-) ).

As this is a MOC for a real bike, I started with the look to know the dimensions for the internal gearbox, which fits nicely. Now a sturdy frame is my next step, as first assamblies are already finished in RL but need polishing.

Constructive input is highly appreciated! :-)

That's a fantastic looking bike.   I actually prefer it to what you've based it on, i think it's because of the wheels and the wing mirrors. Creates a classic yet modern look.

Thanks for the encouragement guys :-)

Just a question concerning the wave shifter: Does it also shift very harsh when engaging two rings at the same time? With the stepper mechanism i'm intending to use, it is just impossible to shift gears. :-/

This shifter 'as is' is too weak. The arms of the shifter have to be place inside of two poulley wheel and supporter between two liftarm. If tou do that. Shifter will word proprely

I found the flaw by looking at the 42107:

A little update:

Already assembled it, just awaiting a few parts in different colours. I completely left out the small fenders above both the wheels, which normaly move with the suspension.

The upper part is just fixed with few pins and can be easily removed:

The switch and the 4-gears work flawlessly, however the driving chain on the right does not engage well with the old 8 tooth gear and even worse with the new one. I tried different stuff but can't make it work properly... :-/

Opinions highly appreciated :-)

Great job; the yellow and brown look great. I love the rear plate holder.

I like the solution you used to have the chain connect the drive input and the two change over axles, but are you able to replace the 8 tooth and 16 tooth with a 16 and 24? It looks like if you adjust the parts that hold the panels on the top and bottom you should have the space to make this improvement to the transmission. I guess the double bent liftarm would need to move as well.

I like them too.

Original lego parts?

Edit: to replace the 8t. If you have them, the old 12 t half gear from the 90' could work...

I tried this setup with 16+24 in multiple forms but ended up where I started, the liftarm really is the main reason for the good stability. :-/

I didn't thought of this! Right now, I don't have them in my collection, but will order them and give this a try, thanks for the idea!

P.S.: For the Brake Disk

Yep, the old 14T gears work just fine inside chain, making them the smallest working gear!

Oups, 14 teeth not 12, you're right.

Back to the subject. Your bike looks terrific good!

I love the color scheme, and the fact it is based on a real life bike.

Your build is clean as well, and the details are just perfect balanced. Pure technic style with pure technic build detail.

Just one last question, why do you oriented the shiffter's command tilting like this? woudn't it be easyier to use if placed horizontaly?

This appart,Bravo!

It's purely for the looks. The shifter mechanism is still horizontal, only the disk and accordingly the foot pedal is slightly tilted downwards as it is in the original:
