Aurore Posted December 30, 2020 Posted December 30, 2020 I've been away from my bricks for a few months, and there will be a few months more before we're reunited. So what can a girl do when she can't build? Minifigs of course! Paradisa was my favourite theme as a kid, and I had quite a lot of fun trying to recreate some minifigs from this theme with modern parts. Can you recognise them? Spoiler (All photos of the original minifigs are from Bricklink) From left to right : The lady in pink from the Island Arcade and Paradise Playground sets (1993) The omnipresent waiter from the Cabana Beach, Country Club, Fun Fair and Poolside Paradise sets (1994-1997) The golden boy from the Island Arcade, Pooside Paradise and Sand Dollar Cafe sets (1992-1993) The kid from the Paradise Playground set (1993) The show jumper (and Beauty) from the Show Jumping Event set (1997) Quote
Robert8 Posted December 30, 2020 Posted December 30, 2020 I love the way you brain works. You nailed them! My fav is the kid but all of them are impressively accurate Quote
Vilhelm22 Posted December 30, 2020 Posted December 30, 2020 I'm an early 2000s kid, and quite honestly didn't know this theme ever existed. However, looking at the pics of old vs new, I'm very impressed, and can agree with @Robert8 - you've nailed them! The waiter and the rider are probably my favourites. Out of interest, when updating figures like this, is removal and swapping of arms allowed? Quote
Aurore Posted December 31, 2020 Author Posted December 31, 2020 @Robert8 Thank you very much! It's the pink torso from the HP sets that gave me the idea : there was a feeling of déjà vu when it was revealed... @Vilhelm22 Thank you so much! Concerning the swapping of arms (and legs), I personnaly consider it fair play. The rider here is the only one with the arms that officially come with her torso (and also the only adult with the legs that officially come with her hips) Quote
