SirNadroj Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Thanks very much for the feedback in the other thread! (And keep it comin', those who haven't voted! ) It's pretty clear that most of you guys would like to see this "Journey to the Center of the Earth" taken the route of a story series. That's probably what I'll do if I can get a-hold of what I need. Here are the characters I've developed for this little venture of mine: Professor Kane Beckett Professor Beckett is a prominent, respected, and well-know scientist and archeologist. Born in 1899 in Wales, Kane grew up being inspired by math, science, and most of all: the Earth. Today, he continues his experiments and studies in a small labratory in northern Germany with the help of his trusted assistant "Rusty". Dr. Jacques Omaha M.D. Dr. Omaha is a very mysterious, though brilliant man. Winning the nobel prize in medicine, Dr. Omaha has treated and cured hundreds of ill people in France. He always carries with him a brown suitcase. But nobody knows what's inside... Miss Clarice Rommel A German-native young woman, Ms. Rommel was born into a very wealthy family. Having the best of everything, she always had what she wanted. But despite her "spoiled-rotteness", she longs for a husband that actually loves her, and not her family's money. Rusty Not much can be said about trusty ol' Rusty. He has served Professor Beckett humbly and loyally, and will help him build an ultimate contraption. Thoughts? Quote
Wilhelm screamer Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Great job with all of these.... What exactly is Miss Clarice Rommel holding? Quote
Dragonator Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Great job with all of these.... What exactly is Miss Clarice Rommel holding? That would be a perfume bottle. I can't wait to see the first instalment of this SirNadroj, the characters all look fun and I can foresee that there is going to be some good stuff coming! Quote
tin7_creations Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 don't know if you know this, but there's a movie coming out called journey to the center of the earth 3D. you can probably go watch that to get some more inspiration. plus.. i think you should add a kid into the characters, like with the short legs etc. a kid for comedic effect. Mr Spielbrick Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 don't know if you know this, but there's a movie coming out called journey to the center of the earth 3D. you can probably go watch that to get some more inspiration. plus.. i think you should add a kid into the characters, like with the short legs etc. a kid for comedic effect. Adding the kid would be copying that film a bit. And from what I've heard, it's not the best source to copy from. Mostly a cheap excuse to fire 3D-effects at the audience (though I cannot confirm this of course). On topic: the figs look marvellous, Sir Nadroj! Each individually is well-designed AND they all fit together, which is hard to pull off. Looking forward to the first proper installment. Quote
