Uses for the Wind-Up Motor from 4995 & 7738

Hi, everybody!

I think that the Wind-Up Motor from the Creator Cargo Copter and Coast Guard Helicopter is a very interesting piece! It allows you to include a button-activated motor in your MOCs without wasting a lot of space! So, I was wondering, besides the two uses that TLG provided (winch & propeller), what other functions could you use it for? Automatic Catapults? Wing-folding mechanisms for Star Wars ships? Just post anything that comes to your mind!

I havent had the time to experiment with it.

But I was thinking it may be good for a minifig scale forklift?

where you could push the forks down, load cargo, then press the button to raise them up?

It would be a step up from the simple spring loaded forklifts, if you could get that winch hooked into some kinda small pulley system.

Hm... Forklift is a pretty good idea!

I just thought of something: landing gear! Pushing the landing gear into the plane or whatever makes it wind up and when you want it to come out, you just push the button!

Anybody else got an idea?

Landing gear sounds neat, if it can be made to work.

Potentially a winch cable to flip the legs up/down can be a lot smaller than technic gears and whatnot.

I'm not a Castle fan, but drawbridge?

Wings on a Jet Fighter plane? Star Wars ship w/ re-tracting wings?

Draw bridge is a very good idea! I'm no big castle fan either, but I still like it!

I'm pretty sure there is an easier way to make the wings on a jet or X-Wing or whatever fold out but it certainly is an interesting idea as well.

Anything else? Just think about stuff that goes back and forth!

I don't own the actual brick so I dont know it's length or strength but why not make a house with a working elevator? Or kind of working since it'll always go to the top floor. ;)
