All-Star Exo-Force Gate Defender

The second in my All-Star EF series, here's Gate Defender.

While Uplink was an '06 small mech grafted onto an '07 small mech, GD is completely different. I decided to come up with an entirely new design. I wanted it to be small and thin, to give the impression of a nimble, swift mech. It was supposed to be smaller than Uplink, but it accidentally ended up a little bigger.

Okay, so it doesn't have any controls, but then neither do most sets.

The wings at the back fold swing down when not in use.

I kept the things on the original hands for this model.

I also kept the shoulder pads from the original:

An elegant design, smooth and cool, with a nice use of these clear hinge plates and a distinct

kind of grenade launcher weapon (I guess...) and some good shoulder armoring. Sweet!

Great stuff BB1! I love the nimble looking design, and the shoulder pads and weapons are great. It looks like a very specialised operation mech and I like that, the thicker hands are good too. Thanks for sharing, what's next?

Um... no idea actually. I just used what TLC used. But grenade launcher sounds sensible, so it'll do.

Thanks, I'm glad you're enjoying the project. It shouldn't be too long before it's up either, all the photography's done, so I've just got to wait for some time to upload and post them.
