JintaiZ Posted September 19, 2020 Posted September 19, 2020 (edited) The newest addition to the Batman line has been revealed - The 1989 Batwing. Gotta say, this looks awesome! Photo: Brickset news The price will be 199 USD/199 EUR/179 GBP - seems quite reasonable for me. What are your thoughts? Let me know in the poll or the comments :) Edited December 23, 2020 by JintaiZ Quote
Good old Lego builder Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 It does look nice, certainly cool to display on the wall. It doesn’t seem to have many functions, so I’m curious. Looking forward to a review. Is it more than a bat-shaped disc? Quote

Good old Lego builder Posted September 22, 2020 Posted September 22, 2020 I’m an adult. What I mean: the batmobile has steering, the mechanism for the guns, the nicely moving roof. This one..... opening roof? Quote

SteamSewnEmpire Posted September 26, 2020 Posted September 26, 2020 Eh. All it does in that movie is crash. Quote
Lionbear8 Posted October 1, 2020 Posted October 1, 2020 To top it off the 89 Batcave, with Wayne Manor, miniature scale like the Harry Potter hogwarts set. Quote

kevin8 Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 I'm a little upset. It seems to me to be a little cropped. I mean, the body is not proportioned to the wings. The wings should have been larger. Quote

kevin8 Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 Surely I can, but why Lego itself did not? Quote

kevin8 Posted October 6, 2020 Posted October 6, 2020 Sure, but Lego makes sets in almost 2 years before putting in shops. Quote

They are clearly trying to make this set the same scale as the batmobile, so I'm assuming that's the way it has to be... Edited December 23, 2020 by JintaiZ Quote

That was my first thought. After all this time I still haven't seen anyone else express the same idea. Weird. It seems so obvious to try and build it from the Batmobile... Quote
