gabrielerava Posted August 3, 2020 Posted August 3, 2020 (edited) Hi, this is my moc of the year: the Sonic building. Largely built on Friends' Central Perk Lego IDeas, I had to find someway to complete the building. And this is my final outcome. It was a slow process, as usual, brick by brick with no digital design, until I found my personal taste. The back is more detailed than usual, since at the beginning my intention was to place it in my city to be viewed from both sides. (Ironically, nowadays it stands with his back against an hill…) There is the possibility to shift the left building from orange palette to pink palette. Here you can see the arrangement of the ground floor. Finally here you see all the modules, floor by floor. Hope you like it! Wish you the best Rava edit: Sonic is on the side! ReplicaOfLife Posted August 4, 2020 Posted August 4, 2020 Great build! Love how each section has its own character, yet it all works together so well. Quote
Options Posted August 4, 2020 Posted August 4, 2020 Great work. Wish could be the 2021 modular. Get ready to see it knocked-off. Just saying.... Quote
Elysiumfountain Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 Excellent job! I especially love that large arched window in the center building. Well done! Quote
peedeejay Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 Simply great! So many great facade details that each of the small buildings deserves to be on a large baseplate by itself. Very inspiring! Quote
Jerry McGlade Posted August 7, 2020 Posted August 7, 2020 Cool build! I really enjoy the incorporation of colours. Quote
gabrielerava Posted August 8, 2020 Author Posted August 8, 2020 (edited) Thanks to everybody. Happy to see that each people appreciates a different portion of the building. It was my aim to incorporate different colours, stiles and techniques in a unique build while keeping a sense of unity. White helps and blends. ? Edited August 8, 2020 by gabrielerava Quote
Wesley D Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 Great mosaic of Sonic! I especially like the yellow and orange side. It really stands out colorwise and in terms of building techniques. The big arched window in the middle is a nice centerpiece and the old type jumper plates above it make a nice roof decoration! Quote

snaillad Posted August 12, 2020 Posted August 12, 2020 Really nice choice of colours and textures. I particularly like the use of those new half sized arches for the balcony on that second floor. Regards! Quote
