TeddytheSpoon Posted July 12, 2020 Posted July 12, 2020 (edited) A quick MOC from the Phantom Menace - the Flash Speeder used by Naboo Forces in Episode I as they take back Theed. Seraph-Class Landspeeder (Flash Speeder) by TeddytheSpoon, on Flickr I got into a really good rhythm with this one, despite its awkward curvy shape. The duck-bill shaped front was especially tricky, and somewhat inspired by Branduin's version on Reibrickable, but it was a really enjoyable challenge. Seraph-Class Landspeeder (Flash Speeder) by TeddytheSpoon, on Flickr I'm very pleased with the SNOT work, even if I do say so myself! Mandalorianknight Posted July 12, 2020 Posted July 12, 2020 (edited) This looks good, it's very sleek! I love the gun design too, is that a flower and a syringe part on it? Edited July 12, 2020 by Mandalorianknight Quote
ARC2149Nova Posted July 13, 2020 Posted July 13, 2020 I'm appointing you: Bombad General! This is really good. The curvature is all there, and I especially love the arch for the turret section. Also those engines are just perfection. Quote
TeddytheSpoon Posted July 13, 2020 Author Posted July 13, 2020 Thank you both! @ARC2149Nova GENERAL?! *faints* @Mandalorianknight yep, flower and syringe! Quote

Jerry McGlade Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 I really enjoy the smoothness of the build! Great job! Quote
Cjd223 Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 As stated before in this thread, very smooth! A very nice upgrade to the two Flash Speeders that Lego has put out. Quote
TeddytheSpoon Posted July 15, 2020 Author Posted July 15, 2020 Thanks everyone! I would've liked to get the front a bit smoother but the wedge plates were the best compromise to get the shape right. Quote
Per_SW Posted July 15, 2020 Posted July 15, 2020 Looking at your version I realized for the first time how much more "sharp" the front of this ship is :D I've been so used to the lego versions I forgot about the real thing Kudos on the wonderful work Quote

It is a very bulbous shape which makes it quite tricky to pull off. It seems to be a thing with ships from Naboo - I'm thinking of doing either the N1 starfighter or the Gian speeder next, and they're both pretty curvy as well. Quote
