SuvieD Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 This set found here is currently at Walmart for $0.97. It is on a plastic strip and has the 4 of this set and 8 race cars it two different styles. I picked up 16 and I must say with 27 pieces per set the 432 total parts for only $16 is a great deal. Not only is this great but it gives me hope that this also may also be available for purchase in the future. I would gladly get many many of these for $0.97 a bag. A side note Target has many sets at 30% of right now. Kmart has some sets at up to 60% with an additional 10% off and it is rumored that walmart has SW sets on clearance though not all of them as it is the managers decision as to what is marked down. Happy bargain hunting! Remember if you pay full price you pay too much, unless it is a ridiculously cheap $0.97 set with 27 parts! ;)
Mr. Lego-builder Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 Nice find. I should go Walmart hunting more often. I could use the extra parts. ;)
chewie Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 nice find indeed i sure hope the KK2 knight guy will be sold at walmart that would be awsome you could have a huge army for 10 bucks
Mr. Lego-builder Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 No minifigure in 5994. However, only $0.97 for a set with 27 pieces is a great deal.
eDeevo Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 This is an interesting development... I will make sure & keep my eyes open for a minifig that potentially will cost $0.97... it will be nice... :-D Life is Good.
Governor Mister Phes Posted July 6, 2005 Governor Posted July 6, 2005 Ah yes, but do we know that its going to cost $0.97? Maybe that was just for 5994 and 5998 is going to cost more. But this seems a promising sign that LEGO is releasing more of these small sets which I like to call "Kiddie Grabbers". I'm sure I've explained what that is enough in other threads.
SuvieD Posted July 6, 2005 Author Posted July 6, 2005 They are dark red like all of the shadow knights. The only difference the head (Johnny Thunder) and helmet (traditional flair). It was a toy included with a meal at LEGOLAND in either Germany or Billund. The catapult was packaged with a LEGO Easter basket in the US but as I said earlier it is now available at Walmart for 0.97. There are obviously more polybag sets because of the space in the numbers of them 5994-5998. Which means that 5995-5997 are not accounted for. I wish I would have checked the racer sets to see if these set numbers are used or if I should hope for three more castle polybags. Time will soon tell. If anyone goes to Walmart soon please let me know what the set numbers for the little racers.
Governor Mister Phes Posted July 7, 2005 Governor Posted July 7, 2005 I remember in the old days LEGO didn't give the sets number ID sequentially, the numbers used to jump around a bit. If they're still doing that there might not be anymore polybags. But we can only hope they've become more linear now.
Darth_Ewok Posted July 8, 2005 Posted July 8, 2005 I like the Vladek one (good for lots of shadow knight people!)
Governor Mister Phes Posted July 8, 2005 Governor Posted July 8, 2005 But the face... The faces would all be the same... You'd have to get difference faces unless you wanted an army of clones!
eDeevo Posted July 8, 2005 Posted July 8, 2005 But the face... The faces would all be the same... You'd have to get difference faces unless you wanted an army of clones! Some people *cough* SW LEGO fans *cough* actually collect clone armies ;) Life is Good.
Sarg_Kulo Posted July 8, 2005 Posted July 8, 2005 Might get these then, I can see some usfulnuss in that minifig

Some people *cough* SW LEGO fans *cough* actually collect clone armies ;) Very clever Ed! In which case it would be acceptable and because of the helmet their faces can't be seen anyway. But I was obviously referring to armies that aren't suppose to be cloned. I like many faces. Especially on the higher ranking figures.
