KDC Posted June 19, 2020 Posted June 19, 2020 Looking for advice on installing a light kit - curious if you would recommend installing/integrating the light kit into the Lego model as the model was being assembled, or would you complete the model and then install the light kit by removing/disassembling the model as needed? The light kit I purchased is supposedly designed for this model - I attached an image to show what I'm going to build. It seems the light kit manufacturer suggest to complete the model first and add the lights secondarily. Although I'm inclined to integrate the lighting while assembling the model. Ideas? Quote
neonic Posted June 19, 2020 Posted June 19, 2020 Don't know much about it but what I do know is I like lights and stuff, that's one of the reason I choose my nickname. If you purchaded the lights and the model ... you said "I'm inclined to integrate the lighting while assembling ..." what's the problem? I think it's handy to look how you can intergrate the lights and stuff while you're building the truck. Quote
1963maniac Posted June 19, 2020 Posted June 19, 2020 I do not own one of these lighting kits yet, but have spent much time trying to decide which type to buy. I'm keenly interested in how it goes. I would think since this is a Technic model that you would want to add lights as you build. But, I also know that the kit instructions show tearing back the build and then rebuilding. It's more work plus a headache. I'm sure the lighting instructions don't follow the same sequence as the Lego BI. So, it may be a little tricky to follow the lighting instructions as you build the Lego. Quote
