Coal Fired Bricks Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 (edited) I've been building a Boston and Albany 4-6-6t and have done the firebox, cab, and the coal/water bunker. Though I haven't found anything round(ish) looking for a 6(ish)stud diameter boiler. Ideas, pics, suggestions wanted. Thank You -Coal-Fired Edited April 22, 2020 by Coal Fired Bricks Quote

Coal Fired Bricks Posted April 30, 2020 Author Posted April 30, 2020 Yes, I know this is an older topic and everybody hates when an 'old' topic is bought up but this is only a week old so it doesn't count. Here is what I came up with for a 6 wide dia boiler 6 stud dia boiler by Coal Fired Bricks, on Flickr I'm pretty happy with it and the tiles with grooves (don't know the name) fill in the gaps between sides of the boiler. Duq Posted April 30, 2020 Posted April 30, 2020 Interesting variation, having them at an angle. They're known as door rails: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=32028&name=Plate, Modified 1 x 2 with Door Rail&category=[Plate, Modified]#T=C Oh, and a week does not count as an older topic. People get annoyed when you drag up topics from many months or even years ago. Quote
