daskal Posted April 17, 2020 Posted April 17, 2020 Hi Everyone! This is my very first post here on this forum. I have been an avid Lego fan since my childhood, but only as of lately started to get into building using Lego Digital Designer. I am a big tank/AFV enthusiest and a big fan of the movie called "The Beast of war". Hence my first creation is a T55 based on this movie. I took inspiration & ideas from quite a few MOC sets I have seen on exhibitions & online on the T55. I have tried to add my own spin to it, and to remain relatively close to minifig scale. I'm currently at the stage of wrapping up designing in LDD - a bit more detailing and additional functionality is still left to do, but the overall outlook is already there. Here is a short video snapshot of it recorded in LDD: Up next for me is getting the actual parts... is Bricklink the best source to do that? Is there a software that can help with hunting don the parts based on the LDD design? Thank you Quote
TheBeeze Posted April 17, 2020 Posted April 17, 2020 I believe LDD lets you export a parts list. Bricklink is definitely the way to go. You can create yourself a wishlist just for this build with the parts you need and the quantities and then the software will find you the parts you need from as few sellers as possible. It's very useful. Be sure to post some pics of the real deal when you're done. Awesome design btw! Quote
